Is a Fairfield Inn Room with a park view an ok choice for an Anniversary stay? I am looking for a backup plan if the rates for the on-site hotels don't drop into my price range...

Yes! I stayed in one on the 4th floor, and thought it was excellent. (I didn't pay extra for the 'Disney view rooms' and I would say that on the 4th floor it would be more of an obstructed view as you can't see into the park. I have heard that on the high floors (there are 9, IIRC) you can see into the park and have an excellent view of the fireworks. You just go out onto your balcony. I have read where people just go up to the highest floors for fireworks views if needed too. My review is here and someone else posted a review of the King room here. I would stay there again in a heartbeat. The room was very clean and beds were comfortable. They had free Wifi and a desk to use your computer on. The pool and Jacuzzi were very clean, albeit a bit small. However all the closest motels/hotels along harbor have small pools/jacuzzis, except for Anaheim Plaza. There were not a lot of people using the pool/jacuzzi when we were there.
