Fairfield inn.. what room what floor ?

Hi all..Now I have a question..I am booked into Fairfield for May 16-20...I stayed there last year...I was asked up front (this time) if I wanted a reg room or facing park..but..they were going to charge me about 25 a night extra for park view..I opted against it because I figured we could use the extra $ at the park..Last time we stayed we were on ground floor by the gift shop a bit away from the pool..and..even though view was not wonderful..it was nice and quiet..Do they always charge exta for better rooms? At this late date..can I still call for an upgrade..TIA...

I upgraded to a park view and top floor and was not charged, or they did not tell me I was anyways. I got my package from getaway today and the lady at the front desk who up graded me did not mention any extra money at all.

I know there are several restaurants near this hotel, how about some type of convenience store to get juice and milk to put in the mini-fridge?

I just called to try and make a specific room request and they said you can only do it 3 days in advance because until then your room won't show up on the hotel system.

Thank you for that..I hadn't called yet...I wonder if they will say specific rooms are booked if one calls back in 3 days in advance...we shall see...

My trip is 3 months from now, they not only found me in the system, but I only gave my last name and they came back with my first name. and they said my request was in the system and done. Some times I think its who answers the phone and wants to be bothere LOL!

Hmm interesting. Thanks i will have to call back tomorrow and tell them someone i know that is arriving months after me was allowed to book theirs lol

There is a small convenience store in the front of one of the neighboring hotels - I recall the name of it as Minnie Mart. It is separate from the hotel. You can find juice, water, snacks, booze, souvies . . . very convenient. We fequent it on the way home from the parks every day.
