Fairfield Inn vs Desert Inn & Suites

In classic “me” trip planning, I’ve continued to stalk hotel rates for my trip next week and have landed on a decent price (especially because I can book in Cdn funds so lock that in) for Fairfield Inn for next week. We’re currently booked at the Desert Inn and Suites. Once I account for parking, the price difference is about $70 US (so estimate about $100 CDN).

Is Fairfield worth the additional money? I realize it is a bit further away but it looks like a nicer place? I think we’d be on one if the lower floors for the rate we are paying, if that matters.

we stayed at DLH on our only other trip and while we loved the hotel itself, we weren’t interested in paying that much this time around.

I am bit of a hotel snob and FFI is my go to for off site. Rooms recently "refreshed" and nice and close.

They have outside balcony corridors that even if you do not have a park facing room you can go to an upper floor and see fireworks if you are there at that time.

Walk always feels nice and close to me.

For only $70 difference that would be my choice

I've never stayed at Desert Inn and Suites but we loved Fairfield and would stay there again if we found a good price.

I have stayed in both and just stayed at FFI last weekend. After the upgrade, FFI is really much better. I would choose that unless you need one of the bigger family suites from Desert Inn..

Thanks so much!

That’s what’s we were leaning towards and after scoring a better rate for our car rental that helps offset the difference, we’re going for it.
