Does anyone have any Fairfield Inn DL park views from their room?

Going to call and request 3 days before we leave. I am guessing the higher we go the better? I do want to face DL...right? What are some of your thoughts?

My family and I stayed at the Fairfield Inn in 2009 and requested a park view room and we were accommodated at no extra charge (that's no longer the case. There is now an upcharge). It was cool to watch the fireworks from, but not really worth the extra charge that you now incur for the park view room. The cost is difference is too much to justify it. FWIW many guests came to our side of the hotel and watched the fireworks from the walkway (as the Fairfield does not have indoor corridors. All rooms are accessed from the out side). If I were staying again, I would forego the upcharge for the park view room and take a stroll along the walkway while the fireworks were going. Other than the fireworks, there's not much of a "park view" anyway. You can see about half of the Matterhorn, the boundry foliage and the monorail go by once in a while. I'd skip it and save the extra money you'd spend every night on the room and spend it in the parks, IMHO.

We're staying at the Fairfield Inn Anaheim in mid-June, any other thoughts or tips about this location?

The location, itself, is fantastic. Quick walk to the parks. Three restaurant's within about 3 minutes walking distance of your hotel (McDonalds, Millie's, and Mimi's). Rooms aren't very big but, they are clean and, we only needed a place to hang the head and shower. Pool isn't impressive or large, but it serves it's purpose.

If you are driving, find a parking spot and try not to move your vehicle unless you have to. That was the one gripe that I had about the hotel (however this problem isn't unique to the Fairfield. Most of the hotels on Harbor close to the gates have this problem).

Enjoy and have fun!

My family and I always stay at the Fairfield. The Disney view is amazing. You can watch the fireworks from the balcony.

The new rooms they have are Disney themed and are an extra charge. I can't figure out if They are the only rooms that have the Disney view or if the regular rooms do too. Does anyone know? Help! :)

We are staying there in 3 weeks - also wondering if there are any rooms with disney view that dont cost extra???

Also with parking..... if the lot does fill up where do you park??????

Thanks disneyrand. I've heard the same thing about the parking. Do you need to have a Fairfield parking tag/decal to park in their lot? I hope they don't issue more tags than they have spots.
