Fairfield Inn or Courtyard by Marriott

Planning a trip to DL in August 2010. I have been checking out different good neighbor hotels and wondered if anyone stayed at the FFI and/or the Anaheim Courtyard Marriott? I am trying to decide between both of them. I know that the FFI is closer to the parks but from my understanding the the courtyard is within walking distance too. If you stayed at any of these properties, what did you think about room size, cleanliness, and quietness, the outdoor pool (I have a DS12), the availability of food onsite, the location in respect to parks and surrounding shops/restaurants, etc and the overall appearance of hotel.

Any input you can share is greatly appreciated.

You will see the close proximity of FFI to the Pedestrian Entrance. It's about a 7 minute walk to the gates. The Courtyard is about a 15-20 minute walk. I wouldn't want to do that after a full day in the parks.

We just got home from our latest stay at the Fairfield on Harbor. We had a parkview on the 7th floor which was fun, no problem with any outside noise levels either. The room was pretty large, two queeen beds and a chair that folds out to a single sleeper. We have always found Marriotts to be super clean and great staff they are great hotels! This particular hotel is a good choice for cheap eats. They have a pizza hut in the hotel, not something for hubby and me but might be fun for a 12 yr old. They also have a resturant in the parking lot called Millies I think that delivers to the hotel rooms. We grabbed sandwhiches here late (11:30ish) which were pretty decent. And finally there is a McD's right there as well. You couldn't ask for a better location they are right across the street from the main entrance. You seriously walk down the street about 1/2 a block cross the street and your in.

We absolutely love Faifield Inn. We'd stay there again in a heartbeat. You can't beat the convenience of the cheap eats as the other poster said and also the close proximity to the parks. We walk to the park in 5-7 minutes depending on our pace.
