:cheer2: Planning a trip for the 1st week of March.

Can't get into the Candy Cane Inn which I wanted to try.

Alaska Airlines looks like the best package deals.

Any opinions on the Fairfield. I'm interested in clean mostly. Stayed at the Anaheim Plaza years ago and had no complaints. I know the Tropicana is closer. The Fairfield is cheaper.

Is it much further away?

Thanks for your input!:thumbsup2

We loved the fairfield inn great beds...rooms run a little small but not when compared to most of the rooms on harbor with hojo being the exception....about a 7 min walk to parks front gates.....well worth the money we spent.....we stayed there in april 2008

We loved the Fairfield too. Beds are very plush and they have 5 pillows on every bed. I thought their towels were better then most motels. I don't know how many people are in your party, but they have a fold out chair that is a perfect bed for a child of up to about 12 years old.

Another thing we really liked is that on hot days they have citrus water in coolers in the lobby. This is wonderful after the walk back to the hotel.

I would stay there again...it is one of the nicer hotels in my opinion.

We have stayed at GC, DLH and HoJo's too...and we love the Fairfield.

P.S. They also have room service from Millie's.

Another vote for the Fairfield. We have stayed there 4 times and have really enjoyed each visit. There is a Pizza Hut on the 2nd or 3rd floor along with salads and sandwiches. There is also a big screen tv in there. We watched our college football game in there one time while enjoying our pizza and a break from the parks.
The staff has always been very friendly and helpful. If you have any questions, feel free to ask me.:)

princess: Thanks!! That sounds much better than I had hoped!! I always find by the end of the day I can hardly make it back to the hotel!

Still undecided, any bad reviews? what about the tropicana?

I loved the Tropicana, but I've never stayed at the Fairfeild. I like that it was so close to the park. I found that at the end of the day I could barely make it to the hotel myself. I found the staff was very friendly and helpful. My only complaint was the "contential breakfast" was not a great selection and you had to pay for certain items (I think milk was one of them). But it was clean and a great price...well worth the convience of being so close to the park.

I hope that helps a bit :)

I booked at the Tropicana for the first week in March recently. If you go through their website http://www.tropicanainn-anaheim.com/ they have a web special right now for $91.75 a night during that week. Fairfield is showing up for me at $109. :)

Yet another vote for fairfield inn. You gotta love that it has a McDonalds next to it, right? Great for a cheap breakfast each morning although the breakfast in Tomorrowland was wonderful.

If you have kids there is a pizza hut express at Fairfield inn as well.

I have not stayed at either.....but Tropicana has a great location.....I always wondered why I wasn't there as I walked by it twice a day LOL!

we satyed at the tropicana for my prom about 2 years ago and loved it, walking distance to disneyland and the rooms were a decent size.
