Drum roll please...

The photo that I submitted to the fair won FIRST PLACE!!! I am thrilled, the cupcake competition is this this weekend, cross your fingers and toes for me.

I am slightly bummed, I was going to enter my Yoda cake, but ran out of time...there were no other cakes entered, so my cake would have won too. Oh well there is always next year.

Just returned home from another (HOT) day at the fair. Today was the big favorite desserts competition. I took my snickerdoodle cupcakes...and I won First Place! I cannot believe I won again! I have been encouraged by the judges to enter this Thursday for Breakfast treats. I am taking cinnamon rolls. Cross your fingers and toes for me one more time...anyone want to swing by the midwest for some free smells?!

It is too late. Apparently there were no cakes last year either. The ladies monitoring the building think that the economy has slowed cake enteries because it is quite expensive to enter a cake since you have to enter the whole thing. Next year I will be there!

I looked through the scrapbooks, there were 4 of those. They were nice, but I am going to enter that category next year.

Overall it was great fun! The best part...DS is just tall enough to ride the Ferris Wheel; while riding last night he said, Momma this fair wheel is the best! So cute!

Thank you...it was caught totally on the fly. I was snapping away as the kids were eating popscicles and playing in the pool. Because I won, I owe this little girl and ice cream cone.

Thanks!!! My camera is just a Kodak point and shoot. It is great for still shots, but is HORRIBLE with action shots. I have had lots of problems with it. We bought it at Best Buy and it has been to their repair department about 8 times. Long story short, they sold us a damaged camera that had been returned, but refused to do anything about it. Never buy anything from Best Buy! Horrible customer service!

Amen to that.. We have had horrible Customer Service w/ Best Buy... if there is something that we HAVE to have from there.. DH deals w/ it.. I don't.. I don't even go in the store.... I despise the place...but that is MY opinion..


I do however love the photo!!!

I have a kodak z740 (I think)... I love it... it takes great action shots.... I used my mom's high-tech fuji one for vacation.. action photos is a BIG NO! However, still shots during the day are FANTASTIC! I do have a camera my friend has that I want for Christmas.. I don't remember the brand/style..but she loves it & I liked it when I tested it...

Also, I did answer the question to the best of my knowledge on the daily grind!

Nan, the contest is at 7:00. Thursday is a $15 ride day and if you can find someone who lives within Marion Co. and does the reading program they have buy 1 admission get 4 in for Thursday. (If you want one let me know.)
