Failed web interview because of computer problems, I think

So if I had done this interview during the week, I wouldn't be here hoping you guys had some help, but it's Friday night and here I am. I just failed the web interview. My computer froze up on me and I hit submit a bunch of times in an attempt to unfreeze it. A page finally loaded and I finished the interview to find out that I had failed it. Is it possible that I unintentionally answered questions without meaning too?

I also think I may have accidentally used Firefox as I just jumped on my dad's computer and that's what he always uses. Is that still a problem for interview these days?

So what do you guys thinks my chances are that they will reset the interview and give me a second chance on Monday? I am dying over here.

Thanks,
Ann

Don't worry! If it's computer problems they will reset it once for you, but only once, so be careful next time! Just call or email them and explain what happened and they will be able to help you. Good luck!

You can use Firefox to take the web interview. The only portion that you must use IE for is the actual application. That being said as the previous poster said you should be able to call and talk to the program people and they will help you at. Computers freak out and they understand that. No worries!

Thanks for the reassurance. I sent a request to the "help desk" but never received one of those automated responses. I guess I'll just wait until Monday and call them.

This whole thing has been a wake-up call. After doing my research and finding this board, I realized that I might have failed anyway because I hardly ever do strongly agrees or disagrees.

What if I actually did fail and it wasn't my computer? My computer did mess up but maybe I would have failed anyway. Do they actually check your interview results to see what happened or do they just trust that you had problems? Agh, more to worry about. I hate to wish a weekend away, but I'll be glad when Monday morning comes!

So...I got an email today saying that my College Program application was accepted. I am the OP on this thread, so you know that I failed but had computer problems. Does this mean anything or do all "failers" get this email?

Thanks,
Ann

I believe everyone gets the "Your Application has been submitted to Disney" email regardless of the web interview results. I had my email open as I was filling out my application and upon completion of my application Disney e-mailed me saying that it has been successfully submitted. After I passed my web interview, I got another email saying "Congratulations: Next Step Phone Interview" I am so sorry to hear about your situation, hopefully Disney will allow you a second shot at it!!

Well, thanks for that input. Strange thing is that I didn't receive this email until 5 AM and I submitted my application around 2 PM yesterday and did my web interview around 8 PM the night before. Maybe more evidence that there were actually computer problems?

Oh, well, I guess I have to wait until Monday!

As a followup, they were able to check the answers that were successfully made before the computer freaked out on me and denied me the opportunity to retest.

Does anyone know if applying to the College Program would preclude me from applying as a regular Cast Member? I'm just wondering if they use the same systems. I'm trying to figure out if I should just try to get a job down there. I was at WDW last week and lots of CMs told me I should just apply for a job and that it was cheaper to live with a roommate than housing was with the CP. So I'm thinking about doing that because I just need a break from school.

Thanks,
Ann

Unfortunately, one can only submit an application for employment in an Hourly Guest Service role at the Walt Disney World Resort once per six-month period. This includes applications for Disney College Program experiences.

If you would still like to apply for an Hourly Guest Service role at the Walt Disney World Resort in six months, please visit http://www.waltdisneyworld.jobs/.

If you would like to relocate to the Central Florida area, you may also be interested in opportunities at one of the other local attractions. You can visit their websites for more information:
