I want to do a spa thing before the VR & I wanted to know what you girls recommend

Im 34 & fair skinned, so I want soemthing that will make my skin glow & diminsh some forehead lines, even out skintone, etc

What are the recommendations?

I know you shouldnt do them to close to the day cause some can make you red or peel

thanks :thumbsup2

also what are some good creams/moisturizers for the face to keep the look going & diminsh lines & help skin tone....any help would be great!!!

It's been my experience that a single facial won't make that much of a difference, especially if you're targeting facial lines and skin tone. If you're set on facials, go for a series of them in the months leading up to the VR. Otherwise, a good mask the morning of the VR will have the most visible effect.

Most of the Bliss skincare products are decent, although - like all the high-end stuff I've tried - the claims are mostly hype. But I've had good results using all the products in their Sleeping Peel line. Neutrogena products are more affordable, and several of my friends' dermatologists have recommended the line. I have a 30-something friend with deep forehead lines who says she's had good results with Olay's Regenerist line.

Hope this helps! :thumbsup2

I will be able to tell you about the facials at the GF in June because that's what I'm doing for my b'day. As for wrinkle/fine line creams- I've tried them all. From Kinerase to Creme De Le Mer   and one of the BEST one's I have found is Strivectin. It plumps up the wrinkles to fade them. It's also good for stretchmarks. I also like Philosophy Hope in a Jar. It ROCKS!

Don't do them before your VR. If you really want to get them, start doing them monthly well before your wedding. I wouldn't trust having someone new do a facial within a week of your VR especially since you are fair skinned.

I started getting them about 6 months before my wedding and had the last one a week before. Of course I had a zit pop the morning of the wedding! Good thing for a good cosmotologist.

I asked a facialist here in nyc and they warned me not to get a facial any time within a week of the wedding. Unfortunately unless you have been getting the same facial over and over again you have no idea how your skin is going to react and this could lead to a bright red face which frequently happens after a facial.

My advice is get a few in the months before the wedding and just do your own moisture treatment, keep hydrated and sleep well the days before the wedding!
