What happens when you accept a "flower", "heart", etc. that someone sends you? Do other people on your facebook automatically receive these from you, etc. I'm always afraid to accept these kind of things. (I'm fairly new to Facebook.)

You have to send them to other people. It might show up in their feed that you accepted but it doesn't send to other people.

You can always just ignore them.

When people send stuff, they'll get a notification that says you received it, if they don't they know you ignored it. Ignoring it won't do anything.

You DO have to be careful when accepting some stuff. Don't add an application that has one star or two next to it because it may be a facebook virus and those are annoying.I don't want to scare you, but it's better to be safe then sorry.

Thanks for the replies! I will ignore them.
Unless you are a 12 year old girl with a gaggle of 12 year old friends no one is going to care if you ignore whatever silly thing they are passing out from thos silly programs like "give a hug" "give a smile" etc.

Just a little advice...I just got a bad virus from clicking something off a friends page...be VERY careful-FB is FULL of viruses!!!:scared1:

I set my 62 yr old mom up with a Facebook account. I showed her how to go directly to look at photos and status updates. These are really the only things she cares about. I personally think non tech savvy adults and young kids have no idea what all those little apps and requests do and when you click accept it sets off another set of instructions for you to then send to your own friends. They never notice in tiny print at the bottom to "skip" or "end"

My parents greatly reduced spam and junk on their computer just by me giving them little mini lessons about the computer when I am home.

Virus or not, those applications are info-suckers. So I avoid them like crazy. I have no interest in handing over my info or my friends' info just b/c I want to do some stupid quiz or send a virtual drink.
