Facebook problem please help

I can't get into my face book I forgot the password..I also can't get into the email I set it up with I forgot the password ..what can i do???

You forgot your email password? It is probably easier to get the password reset on the email and then once you are in there you can reset the Facebook password through the email. How you do that will depend on who you use for email.

yeah b/c the email was set up for facebook by my dd and she can't remember it ..how do I get a new password for my email i looked it is in hotmail..thanks.

When you go to hotmail there is a link under the password box that says "Forgot your password?". If her email is prefilled you will have to click the link for "forget me" first. Just follow the instructions. The Windows Live ID is her hotmail password (whateveritis@hotmail.com).

If I were her I would change the email she uses in her facebook to her normal email so she doesn't forget it again. There is no real reason to have a separate email just for facebook since she can hide her email from the world. If anything I have one email just for friends and one I use when I purchase things online and for newsletters. I use the latter for facebook. While I imagine she isn't doing a lot of e-commerce yet she will be eventually.

I was thinking the same thing but am giving the OP the benefit of the doubt that she is passing the info along to her daughter and not hacking into her email and Facebook.

No i am NOT!!! my dd set this up for me and she has a totally different view on passwords than I do and she can't remember it b/c she said it was me that should have remembered...I am a very honest person and I have no reason to get into anyone elses in the first place.,..look it up Linda Ansley I had top just get a new one..you will see 2!!!!

I am just teasing! lol. It is funny to forget email password and facebook password. I am sure it happens. Just not that often.

No email from hotmail or from Facebook? If it is from Facebook it could have gone to junk or it could just be delayed. Hotmail isn't the quickest at routing incoming mail to your inbox.

If it is from hotmail it might have been sent to an alternate email. Sometimes when setting up an email account you can put in an alternate. If that is the case they might have sent the email to that account also. This is to keep people from social engineering your reset questions and just resetting the password. This is what happened to Sarah Palin during the election when her email was "hacked". It was not, the reset questions were just known because she was a public figure.

My best friend set up a yahoo account to use for MySpace and now can't remember what it is. So now she just doesn't get on MySpace anymore.

I set up a FB page for our dance school and since she doesn't want to get a FB account, but her DH has one, I put both my DD (who acts as receptionist) and her DH as administrators.

I had problems with my password once too. I could not get it to work and everytime I tried a password reset, it was not going to my yahoo account at all. When I finally was able to get it reset, I changed my email and login to my main email and now it is so much easier. Another reason was that I rarely check my yahoo email account.

One thing I hate is that so many sites require alpha-numeric plus a character passwords. My DH & I have one password that has to be a minimum of 12 characters to include a capital letter, at least 1 number and 1 character. Then if you forget and have to reset it, it can not be anything close to what the previous one was.

It finally came through and my dd looked at too and she thought the whole was weird ..I didn't give an alternate one ...the first like 10 didn't come to my email ..only the last two came to me
