Facebook members, Kohl's Cares

As some of you may remember, our area was hit by tornadoes on June 5th. In the end, 7 people died and numerous structures were damaged or destroyed, including Lake High School. The tornadoes struck just hours before the graduation ceremony and took the life of the Valedictorian's father.

Kohl's is having a contest, Kohl's Cares, which will grant $500,000 to each of the top 20 vote earning schools in the contest.

I know that every school is facing budget cuts and every school could use this money but it would mean so much to the community if it was one of the top 20 schools.

Each person gets 20 votes and can vote up to 5 times for one school.

I'm not asking for anyone to send money or anything like that, but, if you are on Facebook, and have some votes to spare in the Kohl's contest, the Lake High School community would sure appreciate it if you sent a few their way.

Thanks for the reminder. The entire situation regarding the deaths is sad, the inability to get funding due to the disaster is ridiculous. Will do anything to help from KY.

We passed the school when driving to Michigan this summer, it was very sad to see. I just tried to vote but got an error message, I will try again later. Sorry for what happened to your school and town.

ETA- I got though and was able to vote, I also posted it on my FB page. I hope it helps.
