Facebook help please!

I need to set up a facebook page for my website for the purpose of networking. I read on about.com that you must set up a personal page first. I am not currently on facebook for many reasons, one being I know myself and I would waste all my time on it.

Anyway, does anyone know if you can set up a page for your company/website without having it linked to or creating a personal page?

I know lots of you guys are facebook experts and will be able to help solve my problem!

You set up a "fan page", which has unlimited friends. With a personal page, your limited to 5,000.

Make a personal one with your first name and then your site name as your last name and don't put any thing personal on it just use it to make/run the fan page.

Yup its only personal if you make it personal.

Yeah, you need to make a personal page for you. You will be administrator for the business page. Just ignore your personal page. Don't post anything on it and accept no friend requests. Good luck.

Oh, so my "fans" subscribe through my fan page and not as friends? I'm glad you told me that.
