Can the kids only get their faces painted at MK and if so can you tell me what the price range is? I have seen some pics online of some of the face painting creations at MK (not the Pirates League) and it looks like my kids can get some really great ones done that are far beyond just a little butterfly on the side of your face. Thanks :thumbsup2

DD got her face painted in Epcot...can't remember the cost....lots of different designs to choose from.

It's about to change for Magic Kingdom since our facepainting is done at Pete's Garage in Toon Town. I am not sure where the new location will be once Toon Town is closed on 02/11/11 but the cost is relatively inexpensive and the artwork is top notch and stays through out the day (so long as you avoid melted icecream and baby wipes). ;)

As mentioned already there are a ton of designs available, most of which are heavily detailed and very vibrant.

EDIT: Another option is the Barber Shop on Main Street where the kids can have their hair done with vibrant colored stripes with glitter and pixie dust. Kids of both genders seem to really enjoy it and it's an inexpensive option that wont have complications at lunch time.

My kids got this done at AK in sept. It was so fun! The designs were $12-15 and the artists were great. It was in Chester & hester area. On my tr below near the end I have pictures. Im on my iphone so I can't just put them on here.

My sons got their faces painted at Epcot, in the World Showcase area called African Outpost. I think I paid around $20-25 for both, maybe $12 each? You can also get face painting at AK.

My boys both chose animals; the youngest is a brown bear and the oldest is a panda. They were thrilled with the results, and I actually thought it was a decent value for the money. My only complaint was that it was May and it seemed to wear off in the heat fairly quickly.

In Epcot, they do face-painting at the Outpost (between China and Germany) in World Showcase. I think it was $15-$18 per person. They did a great job, and my kids LOVED having it done.

Last trip, we had their faces painted at Hollywood Studios as we were leaving Jedi Training Academy, near Sounds Dangerous, I think. Prices and choices were similar, and they also did a great job. I think they were only taking one customer at a time, though, so the line was a little longer.

I know that there is also face-painting at Animal Kingdom (in Africa?) but haven't personally done it there.

My dd also got hers done at the Outpost in Epcot and LOVED it. We even went back later that night for a touch up and the lady added a touch of glitter. She was an Asian Tiger. When she met Marie, Marie was really impressed and had them pose fellow felines. It was sooo cute.

We had it done just before the safari in AK. I don't remember the exact price but remember it being inexpensive. I would guess less than $15. The artist did an amazing and super fast job. It was in September and didn't last 2 hours though. I would do it again, if we went at a time that wasn't as hot.

Great pics:thumbsup2do you tip the face painters and about how much would be a good tip, especially for the full face paintings. Also is there a charge for touchups after a few hours? We will be in wdw inhot, humid, and rainy august  Thank you.

Once Toontown closes, the only face painting option at MK will be The Pirates League. However, as others have mentioned, the other three parks and DTD have face painters available.

DD6 got her face painted at Pete's Garage in Toon Town and then her hair done at Harmony Barber Shop. I don't remember the prices but I remember DH posting something on his Facebook about it being one of the best $20 he had spent all week because DD's reaction was priceless.

The touch ups are free. I tried to tip the lady that did the touch up because she really did a great job (she also added a hint of glitter, which was great) but she flat out refused it, her supervisor was right there and there were other people waiting so I let it go. The original guy that did it also did a great job. He was from Oxford, England and a really nice guy. I did tip him because he took such a long time and did nice details. It was just us there and he refused it but I insisted and he seemed really appreciative. :)

How much is this?!?!?! My DD's (ages 8 & 10) don't want to spend $50+ to do BBB (we told them it would have to be their money). They would LOVE this!!

This will be our "alternative" to BBB and it is something fun and reasonably priced that all four of my kids can get done together all at once and will make for great memories and photographs. We were initially considering the Pirates League until I came across some photos of the park face paintings online;but our DS2 isn't old enough to do the Pirates League anyway so we will skip that. My DD9 and DD4 aren't really big into the princesses but they love Tinkerbell and the fairies so I can see them getting a cute fairy type face painting or colorful face painting design.

I don't remember the exact price but it was cheap...like $7-8.

My DD had this done a few years ago in DHS. I think it's a good choice for older kids.
