Face covering enforcement

Well, I try not to be discreet when posting lol, but it doesn't matter if I had said it in the original post. There are lots of people saying well I see lots of gaiters so 😄

Exactly! Florida has much more COVID19 transmission right now than my state. The only thing that has me still planning to go on my August trip is the high rate of compliance being reported at Universal.

People don’t want another shut down, which is understandable. The best way to prevent that is to slow the spread by wearing masks, using good hand hygiene, and social distancing.

If there’s a mass rebellion against mask wearing at Disney, the result isn’t going to be dropping the requirement. The result will be shutting back down. Keeping Disney open depends on guests following the legal and Disney-specified safety measures.
All of this exactly, but especially the bolded part. I honestly don't think masks are necessary outdoors, but if the choice is between wearing one or staying home, I am wearing one. IMHO, the rules will be modified as the numbers come down, but that is not the reality right now. I have found it's a mental hurdle, not a physical one. Accept that you are wearing a mask, then REALLY Spend some time finding one you are comfortable wearing. It has to be tight enough so that it doesn't constantly slip down off your nose. Ear loops are super uncomfortable for me, so I've spent quite a bit of time modifying my masks (yes, you should bring several) so they have eyelets I can run a shoestring through.

One other thing; I went and got my hair cut after about 100 days of the shut down. both the hair dresser and the customer have to wear masks. I had to untie mime so she could cut the hair on my neck. As I looked in the mirror, it slipped off my nose just for a second. It felt like I was flashing a boob. It was in that second that I realized I had accepted the mask requirements - you'll get there too.

I have bought several adorable masks for me and my family. If by some miracle we're past all of this by my trip in October (note: I know we won't be) I would still be bringing and wearing my masks. Because they're cute and they go with my daily themed outfits and I need people to see how coordinated I am. (In a situation where you have little control, controlling what you can may help stress levels. I buy pretty masks and design my daily outfits so I don't have to deal with the stress of our honeymoon flights being rescheduled.)
Anyone know if masks slip off during rides? I've been crocheting little ear saver kind of things to put on my work masks because they're made poorly and I was planning on making more for my trip as a safeguard to make sure my mask doesn't come off. More for Universal with their thrill rides than Disney, I guess, but still.
