Face cleanser for daughter

Can anyone recommend a good face cleanser for my 11yo DD?

Noxema is always a good choice, it's not irritating, cleans really well and rinses off so nicely.

My DD uses the Clean and Clear Morning Burst, and Stridex pads.

I like the Oil of Olay daily facials. Little wipes they have lathering ones that you get wet or some that are premoistened and you just wipe your face with them

As one who's severely allergic to Noxema...clean and clear is good.

I got a free b'day gift from Body Shop last month and picked up their cleanser for oily skin with tea tree oil. I love it. Normally goes for 10 bucks, but I find I use so much less than I do with the clean and clear, that this bottle will probably last me until Christmas!

Dove foaming face wash is nice. St. Ives products are nice as well.

It is AWESOME!!!! It makes your face feel so fresh and it has cleared my face up so so much! I hardly have acne even around that time of the month.

Oh and its cheap! Under $3.00 at Wal-Mart

We love this in my house, but we get the original in the peach colored tube. It says it's invigorating and it has scrubbing things in it that make your face feel really good. It's great for getting rid of all the dead skin and grime. My daughters just love it, 12, 15 and 17.

I love these. I cut them in 1/4s though. Sometimes my skin will get dried out quickly and its easier to just use another if I need it.

The ST. Ives it good too.

DS9 and DD12 both use clean and clear. I read all the labels on quite a variety of facial cleansers and that was the only one I found that seemed like just a plain and simple face wash. I didn't want anything terribly drying or any acne treatment, just a face wash. Both kids have great skin so far so I guess it works fine. DS9 just uses it to wash his face when he's in the shower. DD12 uses it to wash her face twice a day to keep it clean and breakout free.

Another vote for Noxema. I am allergic to just about every face wash and cream but Noxema has been working since I was a teenager. (too many years ago!) Both my sons have used it too.

Vote me in too for Noxema...............I started using that also around your daughter's age...............used it religously.............thankfully I was never one to have a blemish...............(overweight, yes, but I had clear skin!!! )

My 13 yo DD uses Clearasil foaming cleanser. She really likes it.

I might suggest getting on-line and getting some free samples from several of these places to see what works for your DD's skin. I know things that work for me don't work for some others and vice versa.

I know Mary Kay has a teen cleanser/moisturizer called Velocity. (No, I don't sell it, but I do use the adult-stuff!) It might be good to start your DD on a good line of skin care that she can grow/develop with.

My oldest DD used Proactive with no problems for about 3 years, then she started getting red bumps on her face. She thought it was acne (which she didn't have before using Proactive), so she was really careful to use her Proactive.
Her face got much worse with weeping red bumps. It turned out that she developed an allergy to Benzoyl peroxide. Her skin has not been the same since.
Not saying the same would happen to anyone else or that it's not a good product, just that if someone using the product develops red bumps, it may be an allergy.

When I was younger I used Cetaphil, it is really mild but works great!

Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser is wonderful! It was recommended for me by a dermotologist and it works great for sensitive skin. It is unusual however, and some people don't like the texture. It feels like a lotion or hair conditioner that you rub on your face; it does not lather. You can rinse with water or wipe off with a tissue. It leaves a light emolient, moisterizing "film" that makes your skin very soft. Some people don't like that feeling and think their skin is not clean. Your skin is clean, just not tight and stripped. It doesn't remove heavy makeup. It is very gentle and safe even for infants. Minimal to no odor and doesn't hurt if it goes in your eyes. It is a quality product worth a try. There is an oily skin version, but I haven't tried it.

I don't know if your daughter is using make up yet or not, but it isn't too early to start thinking about a gentle SPF moisterizer as well.
