Face characters in MGM?

We have never ever in all our trips in the world seen a face character in mgm although after reading these boards i am sure that they exist! We only ever see 'furries' such as mickey minnie and the gang lilo and stitch, pooh characters, timon and rafiki etc in front of the hat. Any advice on where we might run into the 'human' type characters?

I've seen a few over the years, the latest was Mulan. I've seen Pocahantas, Capt. John Smith, Aladdin to name a few. Look around when they are out by the Sorcerer's Hat. Some of them are off to the sides, not out front in the middle. During the Star Wars weekends they have people who look like some of the Main Star Wars characters.

I've read that many of the face characters at MGM are now found at the Crossroads area at the front of the park, so that's where I plan to look next month.

I will have to keep my eyes open, does anyone know anymore about appearances at the crossroads area? Which characters and is there a regular time that they appear etc?

Face characters can usually be found near the hat.

They use to be at the Hat, but now they're supose to be at Crossroads of the World/ Sid Cahuenga's area. On my last trip earlier this month, I didn't see any though. I heard that depending on how late the parade is or how many Fantasmics there are that night (since the face characters often do both and the Crossroads meet), they may not have as many sets as usual- maybe just one a day if there are 2 Fantasmics that night. If they are out, I usually seem to spot Mary Poppins, Mulan, Hercules, Snow White, Aladdin, Jasmine, and others.

That may explain it then, we were last there in July and perhaps we just missed their sets as there were two performances of fantasmic plus the parade while we were there...I would love to meet Hercules though...will have to visit in off peak season in future!!

Like Meeko said, on all recent trips, we only seen face characters at Crossroads (right after you enter MGM). Back in April, we seen Hercules, Mary Poppins, Snow White, The Queen, Mulan, Pocahontas, Aladdin, and Jasmine. On other trips, we seen Meg and Phoebus there, too.

When we were there, the characters made their appearances starting around noonish until 2:30/3:00ish. They are out of an half hour, then inside for a half hour, then back out, etc. They make three or four sets on a normal day. But things can always change - heat, weather, and other factors can make the face characters not do appearances on some days.

I sure hope the characters are still meeting at the entrance to MGM, as I will be looking on my next trip.

The face characters are at th entrance, before the parade, and the others like Stich, Pooh, Mickey are by the hat!
