FAA Approved Carseats?

I am wondering if there is a website anywhere that lists the FAA approved carseats. I tried the FAA site, but couldn't find a list there. I have a Graco ComfortSport that I bought last year that I was/am planning to use for my 2.5 year old in November. It does not have an FAA sticker on it, but says "airline approved". Is "airline approved" sufficient? We're flying on Southwest... has anyone had a problem using carseats on SWA?

Thanks!

That is the FAA regulation that governs carseat use on aircraft. It gives the precise wording required to be on the sticker. If your sticker matches the wording in the reg, it is OK to use it.

If it is approved, you should have no trouble using the seat on SWA; they have never actually asked to see the sticker on mine.
Be aware that seats should always be placed in a window seat, but cannot be placed in the following rows: rear-facing "lounge" seating, the exit rows, the rows directly in front of the exit rows, or the rows directly behind the exit rows.

You will always be allowed to preboard on SWA if using a carseat, even if they are not allowing general preboarding of families with young children on that flight.
