:thumbsup2 I've purchased 3 contracts - 2 via resale and 1 direct from Disney. The first purchase was from DVCByResale and Shontell was wonderful to deal with. She is extremely professional and on top of everything. The second resale purchase was through someone else and although the sale turned out ok there were times when the sales rep. seemed a bit confused. If my addiction gets worse and I want to buy a 4th contract I would definitely look at DVCByResale first.

We used Jerry at The Timeshare Store for 100pts at OKW. Had a flawless transaction and they kept us up-to-date on everything. We were never left wondering. We tried DVCbyresale and they didn't return my call the first time i contacted them. For the life of me, i can't figure out whey anyone would use Disney for a resale.

Another TSS satisfied customer here! We did everything by email (and Fed Ex), which fit our lifestyle to a T. I don't think I even spoke with a real person once....didn't really need to, because everybody here answered my questions before I contacted them! :rotfl:

The only pain was finding our own financing, because if the economy.

Since our purchase, we decided to add on through Disney...they had a TON more paperwork than working through TSS did. Makes you wonder how much of it is really necessary!

We just bought BCV resale from Jaki and **** at **********.com. The process was easy and wonderful. **** responded within minutes of my emails. Jaki phoned me to tell me that we passed ROFR.

We wired money in order to close quickly. (I wanted to book during my home resort advantage time.) We were in the system within three days.

I can't recommend them highly enough!:thumbsup2

We will contact them when we are ready to buy more points.

In October of 2008 we closed on a 170 point VWL contract through the TimeShareStore. ($80.00 per point) The process was easy and just about effortless. Jamie was our agent at the TSS. We paid half cash and half home equity loan.

11 days away from our first stay as DVC'ers.

I went on the site and i see some GREAt deals for the Boardwalk like 270 for 15,000 i want to know who here got there DVC membership on DVC by Resale.com

As mentioned by others I think that at $55 per point for the Boardwalk it would get bought back by Disney.

Here at The Timeshare Store, Inc.® we just had a 150 point contract at the Boardwalk sold at $79 per point bought back by Disney on 10/1/09.

We bought from DVCbyResale.com. We were very pleased. I did end up calling and following up at specific dates in the timeline.

I think I was being more anal than anything else. Its a little scary the first time you send $9000 to a company you only know on the internet!!

Everything went very well!

Yup, that was ours:guilty:
And we are now on our 4th attempt! First contract, seller had issues with probate and would have taken months before it went to ROFR and second and third contract bought back by Disney.

We used DVCByResale.com for our BCV purchase from the UK and I was delighted with the service we received. Good price too.

We used Jaki in 2002 and Timeshare Store in 2005. Both mainly done via email and FedEx with one brief phone call. Both answered emails quickly and were very professional.
Buying resale is always worth the wait.
One tip, if you can get a deal that has the points you want split into two or more contracts (like someone who did add-ons but now wants to sell everything). You can sell off the little contracts separately in the future.

We've bought and sold contracts with Jaki and ****....great to deal with and wouldn't hesitate to use again!

We used Shontell at DVCbyresale to sell our Vero Beach contract. She was wonderful to deal with and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her to others.

There just doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason why Disney exercises ROFR. We just closed on a 150 pt. contract at BWVs for $78 per point (thru Jaki/****). It does seem that the prices are starting to creep up a bit.

pixiedust:to all those who are anxiously waiting!

Congrats to you Paula! That was my contract that didnt go through:sad2:. We are trying a third, really fourth time now. Someone must have wanted a June use year with a semi-loaded contract, is all I can think of.
The seller was asking for 78 per point and we really wanted that particular contract so we even offered 79 per point. Maybe another reason they bought it back was because seller paid the MF's on the 95 2009 points?? I don't know....
