We are headed to WDW in late Sept. I know that F&W will bring in crowds and unfortunately are 2 Epcot days are a Friday and a Saturday. My current plan is to do the World Showcase on Friday from 11-3 (we have two kids, 7 and 5 and I think that's about how much they will want to do). I also want to set aside some time for Future World (predominantly the Nemo / Soarin' / Living with the Land area). In the past (aside from Soarin') Future World was pretty empty around 6PM (as in we just walked onto Nemo). Is that still going to be similar to the case during F&W? Thoughts, I know nothing is 100%.

Also, is there much difference with crowds between Friday and Saturday night? Currently I'm planning on doing Epcot on Friday AM and HS on Friday PM, then Epcot in the PM on Saturday. I could flip the HS PM and the Epcot PM if that would be better. TIA!

Yup. (Within reason.)
When the park attracts more visitors, all sections will be busier.
But, by far, the most guests will be in WS in the evening.
