F&W Events

Has there been any word yet on if there will be any special dining events at F&W this year? Wine pairing meals and such?

No word. My guess is that there won't be this year. I'd love it if they did some ... I thought about whether they could require proof of vaccination and have all servers vaccinated but I suspect that's more logistics planning than they want to take on. I miss these events so much and can't wait until they return. I will be thrilled if they find a way to bring back in 2021!

One of our favorites too. In fact, am still in touch with people we sat with at the last one we did.

I love those meals and events. I really missed the little deminars they used to have but didn't have last F&W because there was no festival center. I'm thinking they could maybe have the meals at places there is outside seating like Spice Road Tables but it's probably too much to try to do.

I was there a few weeks ago and asked the manager in the Japan pavilion. I go every year to the Hibachi experience. He said that they don't know yet. No decision had been made at that point. I imagine they are waiting as long as they can in order to decide. I really miss that event.

I would expect they will wait closer to summer to make any announcements about that.
a lot will depend where we are with Co-Vid by that time.
I'm hoping they are back as we have loved everyone that we've done.

FYI - the official "sticky" thread for this year's festival has been started and is at the top of the restaurants board's main page. No news yet but I've always found it a good way to keep track of updates.
