F&W Events -when's the LATEST you've booked

I know that most of the reserve and signature dinners sell out almost immediately. And that last year, you could still get tickets to the Party for the Senses on the day of the event (that we went), but what about other weeks. Did anyone try to get ticekts for this and not succeed becuase of it being a sell out? And if so, when was that and for what week? Also, what did others experience about availability for F&W pairings and Lunch and Learn? We're trying to talk some friends into joining us this year, but I'm not sure we'll have them convinced by 7/20.

the party for the senses was moved to the old milennium village building, i was told, in an effort to pretty much guarantee it would never sell out. they were selling out the grand tastings (the precursor to the party for the senses) very quickly when it was at the odyssey. if i remember correctly, they were limited to 200-300 at the odyssey. i've heard that the new place can take 600 before they even have to start thinking about it.

i think most of the other stuff sells out pretty quickly. i'm not very familiar with the pairings events. those might have high capacity.

We had a couple at our table last year (Jiko signature dinner)..who decided at the last minute to visit food/wine fest..about a week before they left..and called to make reservations. They had everything we did, Jiko signature dinner, party of the senses and a lunch/learn...and again..they made the ressies only days before they left.

People cancel, things come up, space opens up. So, always keep trying if you don't get want you want the first morning.
