This will be my first time checking out F&W in the 15 years that i have been going to Disney. i've looked at the menu i see that my DW and i are going to want to quite a bit of them but we will be traveling with our DD (3) and DS (1) so obviously we want to be responsible adults and keep the drinking to a low level.

what is the size of the drinks that you get at the stands?

for the last two years the sizes were 4 and 6 ozs for the beers - so definitely a sample size

I don't know specifics on the wine - i'd say about 1oz

China was the only country that I recall giving full sized drinks for their F&W booth. They were very good and hand poured, so they were more potent than booths offering pre-made/mixed drinks. Of course, some also depends on what you're getting too. Ex. Scotland will offer partial pours of single malt scotch, but you're essentially being given a small shot sized cup of straight alcohol that would be stronger than a cup of many of the mixed drinks offered.

I think it was more then 1 oz, but it's a lot less then the beer.

It's a small glass

Now the Ice Wine... smaller than a shot!

that makes perfect sense for the Scotch, i understand that as its straight alcohol

so somewhere in between 2-3oz?
ice wine bottles are pricey to begin with and generally the bottles are small in size. i use to sell wine

A typical pour at a restaurant is 5-6 oz - I cant find any details on the specifics at F&W, but based on the price per wine (around $4-$5)
I going to change my guess to 1.75 oz ;)

I also noticed you can buy a souvenir glass for $4 - does any one know if that gets you a larger pour since it is free pour on the spot or are they marked to be exact

I was actually very glad the ice wine glass was small. I absolutely hated it! LOL!

I believe wine was 2-3 oz with cocktails and champagne being full size?

so its safe to assume that
beer is 4-6oz
wine is 2-3oz
spirits is 1.5oz
cocktails and champagne full size drink

Safe assumption with the exception of "cocktails"--I have found that most of them (from kiosks) are also smaller sizes (6-8 oz) versus a 12 oz cup EXCEPT China which offers full size--there may be others but the drinks in China are killer. Beers/ciders when served in the "sampler" (4 samples in a tray) are 4 oz and a single sample is 6 oz. My husband and I share--even the smaller versions--while visiting the kiosks.

All sharing is off though when it comes to Grey Goose slushies in France and margaritas from La Cava or the now defunct Margarita stand (still in mourning over that closure and hoping it is back before we arrive). He won't share with me in the Pub because I like Guinness and he does not. :drinking1

Everything at the F&W booths are smaller sizes. None of them are full size, size you'd get at a restaurant, whatever. Even the champagne. (guess we've never gotten stuff in China)
Which is why I've never understood how anyone can get falling down drunk. Unless maybe it's their first time drinking. But we've drank our way around numerous times and while we were not at a point where driving was a good idea we were far from falling down.

I have told this story before but I think it proves that some of the "falling down drunk" is more assumption than reality

I was at the Off Kilter stage several years ago. It's late evening during Food and Wine. Group of young girls are dancing and acting silly. A self appointed "watch dog" proceeds to start loudly screaming about the drunks. The girls think that this is funny and act even crazier. Watch dog goes to CMs who don't seem to worried. She sees a security guard and goes into attack mode. Guard talks to girls. Does nothing. Guard dog is now rabid. Finally the security CM tells her girls are 16! And they were sober. But they enjoyed baiting the watch dog.

Food and wine does attract big groups. Some of them do act crazy but I think that might be more the group than booze
