We ate our way around the world, twice! DH, dd and I shared everything. I usually only took 2 bites, so I could try it all. My youngest lived on chicken fingers and fries... :confused3 I only listed the wines that really got my attention, other beers or wines we tried were the usual suspects or nothing to write home about.
I wish I could have tried everything (well almost!)

MEXICO
Quesadilla con Pollo y Chorizo - Chorizo and Chicken Quesadilla $3.50
This was a large portion, nice smoky flavor, dd and enjoyed it. It was the end of the night and Dh had cried uncle by then.

SCANDINAVIA
Scandinavian Meatball $2.50
This was served with a gravy and mashed potatoes. It was very flavorful, more so than the typical swedish meatball that I was expecting. We all liked it.

OCTOBERFEST
Traditional Apple Strudel $2.00
The kids didn't care for it, because it had raisins, I thought it was pretty good. I like that they serve it with a vanilla sauce.

CHAMPAGNE
Champagne Pommery $7.00
Banfi Rosa Regale $6.00
My sister ordered the Pommery and I got the Banfi Rosa based on the Dis reviews. I loved my Banfi, slightly sweet but not cloying. After sipping this, I tasted the Pommery and didn't enjoy that as much even though I typically like drier wines. I would buy a bottle of the Banfi!

UNITED STATES
Lobster Corn Chowder $2.50
Cheddar Crab Cake with dried cranberry slaw $3.00

We're from MD so we're biased about our crabcakes, but we were willing to give the F&W chefs a try. Sorry, they missed the mark. The slaw was pretty good. I liked the addition of the cranberries and it wasn't swimming in mayo.
The Lobster Corn Chowder was good. They sprinkle lobster meat on the top of the serving, the broth is nice, it had mostly potatoes in it. My dd was crazy about it and had this 2x.

JAPAN
Spicy Tuna Roll $3.25
Tokyo Sushi Roll $3.00
Enjoyed both, though the Tokyo Roll (crabmeat) ever so slightly beat out the spicy tuna. We had it 2x!

INDIA
Red Curry Chicken $1.75
Great portion for the $. Nicely spiced, though I could have handled more. We enjoyed it.

MOROCCO
Hummus with Pita $1.50
Same as Tangierine Café...I wish they gave you more pita.

FRANCE
Escargot Provencal $3.25
I was really looking forward to trying this version of escargot. It was good, though I decided I like the traditional escargot better. The sauce was good for dipping the crunchy baguette.

POLAND
Kielbasa and Potato Pierogies with sour cream $3.50
Traditional food, good but nothing special.

CANADA
Cheddar Cheese Soup $2.50
Maple Glazed Salmon with pecans $3.50
Maple Walnut Fudge $1.50
Cheese soup, yummy as usual! Loved the salmon! The fudge was so sweet, a little too sweet for me, but still good. Got the soup and salmon 2x.

GREECE
Spanakopita $2.75
One of our favorites! Nicely seasoned, creamy filling, crunchy phyllo, yum! Got it 2x.

WILD AND WONDERFUL FLORIDA SHRIMP
Sauteed Shrimp with lime and ginger chutney $4.25
Florida Orange Groves Mango Wine $3.00
The shrimp was good, though the chutney had an odd taste to it. Dd didn't like the chutney at all and I thought she was going to spit it out!
Loved the mango wine! Again, I don't usually get sweet wines but this was light and the mango was great with the shrimp.

We love eating around the world! If you haven't done this I highly recommend it! :Pinkbounc

I wanted to add that you can buy the Marketplace Recipe Book for $10 which lists all the food booth recipes...looking forward to trying it out!

Thanks for sharing!! Sounds like fun - we are planning our 1st trip to WDW during this Fest for early Oct next year & I'm thinking we may just "eat around the world" on more than one night in order to check everything out. :teeth:

Can you tell me what was in the Spanakopita from Greece? Sounds interesting - I think I'd also pick up the recipe book!! :wave2:

Thanks for posting....I loved reading your reviews :sunny:
Were you on the dining plan? Could you use any of your snack credits?

We will be going to the F&W for the first time next week

TIA

Thanks for sharing your reviews, everything sounds great! :flower:

Terri- no, we didn't do the dining plan. I've read on these boards that people used snack credits at the booths. Enjoy next week- bon appetite!

We just got back from our trip two days ago. We had 8 day park hoppers and spend 4 full days and 2 partial days in Epcot! The first day we started eating around the world at 11 a.m. at rope drop. We s-l-o-w-l-y made our way around WS and stayed till close at 9 after Illuminations. The second day we met up with several other DISers and "noshed" around the world again. Then again and again on our own! It's awesome! (however, I don't think kids would be that into it...:) DH and I made the best use of the dining plan. We used up all 16 of our meal plan credits at the booths, eating the samples for both lunch and supper on two days. (Of course, we paid for several too). We had enough table service meal credits for HDDR and a signature restaurant too. Love the dining plan, love the F&W festival!

Thanks for posting your review :) . I couldn't go to the festival this year so I have to live vicariously through others. I bought the cookbook last year and it was a great buy. I just used it tonight actually!

Thanks for the great reviews. We just returned from the F & W festival ourselves a few weeks ago. We really enjoyed trying different items from the different countries. We really liked the Zita from Italy, Meatball from scandinavia and Mousakka from Greece. We bought the festival book and hope to make some recipes in the near future.
