F+ and time spent at the parks vs resort hotels

Does anyone else think they'll ride less rides and spend less time in the parks? I just made our F+ selections for our May trip. For each park I picked the headliners I could as close together in time as I could. I picked times in the afternoon so we could try for rides in other parks in the am. Thinking with rope drop we could get on all the rides we wanted.

We used this strategy successfully on our December trip. But I don't want to work as hard on the next one. I don't want to have to park hop every day to make sure we hit all the headliners. Its way too taxing for vacation. This coming trip I think will be in and out for our 3 FP+. Much more time at the resort relaxing. Thoughts?

We actually spent less time at the parks and more time outside of wdw. In previous years we would just have time for a break in between parks. This year when it got crowded we were done. Or took our break early. It gave us enough time to go to thé outlets and eat at other restaurants. That was nice for a change.

I still consider myself a WDW novice but our DLR park hopping habits are hard to kick. We're also deluxe resort people so spending time at the resort midday were a means of park hopping to the second park later that night and FP+ has made that easier for us. Our last Dec trip I don't think we spent a day at only one park. Sometimes having a full itinerary isn't enough for us. We want to have variety in our day. We're also going again in May and will likely continue to use this strategy.

We always tend to go to WDW during value season so we honestly just use the rope drop strategy with each park and have never had issues except for waiting to get on Peter Pan at MK. Honestly, I don't see us really utilizing FP+ system that much more. I will probably make one for Peter Pan and maybe new 7 dwarves train depending on when it finally opens. Might do one for parades too just so I don't have to loose hour to get a spot. Epcot we always book it to Soaring then Test Track, HS it's always TSM and lastly AK the Safari. Then we just take our time touring the rest of parks and usually are done by 2pm. By that time we take a break from the parks and relax at resort usually the pool. Then later we head back to parks for whatever.

Just back from a trip and with FP+, we still toured in the same way, park hopped the same, and spent about as much time in park vs. resort as previous trips. also, did not ride any less than in the past.

Did RD/EMH and made FP+ for evenings and all worked just fine.

I hear what you're saying but our touring strategy has changed a lot since F+ has been implemented. We have been WDW visitors for 30 years and bought into DVC in 2007.

In our 20+ visits in the past 7 years we've only felt we needed to get to rope drop at Epcot (WS entrance) and HS (to ride TSM twice, once standby and once with FP-.)

We could spend a leisurely day at MK utilizing FP- and standby to ride most everything in the park.

I won't wait more than 20 minutes in a standby line. So FP+ has changed my park plans. I'll spend less time there.

Have just picked our FP+ as well, and can absolutely tell you this is true for us.

We will be gone from the parks most days by 1pm, some days, earlier ...

Whats funny is we used to pull FPs throughout the entire day, and we would buy Breakfast from garden grocer and then eat lunch and dinner in the parks. After booking FP+, we are thinking our GG order is going to include lunch stuff ... since we will be back to the resort for lunch most days.

I don't think it will affect how much time I spend in the parks but it may. I usually RD one park in the AM and switch to another park (usually Epcot) later. I doubt that will change.

Actually I think it will change how much time I spend at the concierge desk trying to fix all the problems the bands have caused or at kiosks if I am an offsite guest!

I just spent an hour on the phone with a CM getting all our FP+s linked properly ....

She basically let it slip that they are having a ton of issues, and many people, including they, aren't happy ....

From some of the horror stories I have heard on here I am not surprised. The CMs at these jobs are in for a lot of long days. I feel bad for them, they are gonna earn every cent of their pay!
