I cannot find an eyeliner that stays on! Even ColorStay! Anyone have one that will stay put and not break the bank?

Wet and Wild. probably the cheapest one out there but works great!!
I hate smeary eyeliner.

I like the Cover Girl Pencils. I don't know the exact name, but they have the blending tip on the other end. I've used tons of different kinds, but these are my favorite.

I used to be the head of the makeup dept for our community theatre and I was ALWAYS recommending either Wet and Wild or Rimmel products. They may be cheap, but they are by far the best I have come across. IF they can stand up under a stage full of lights beating on you for 2 hours, sweat running down your face and constant rubbing of the face to get hair and sweat away, they are some GREAT products:laughing: I won't use anything else:)

Thanks so much!! I will get some ASAP!! :)

I use the loose powder eyeliner and put it on with a wet eye liner brush.

Seriously, you need to try Bobbi Brown long-wearing gel eyeliner. It is AMAZING.

I also like the Bobbi Brown products, but I normally use Mary Kay. They have an eyeliner in a twist up small tube thing that stays on all day long. Love it! It's not the pencil type that you have to sharpen.

How are you washing your eyelids & eyelashes? If the Colorstay isn't lasting, I would say there is still a residue, maybe oily remover still on your eyelids or lashes, and the Colorstay won't adhere properly to the skin. Colorstay sinks in & sticks like a Sharpie marker once it sets on bare skin.

For an experiment, take a little Ivory soap or regular soap and gently wash along the eyelash line after you've used your makeup remover. Dry. Then apply the Colorstay. See if it sticks better. If it does, then you need to change how you remove your makeup remover, not your eyeliner, or make sure you get it all off.

Also, you may be putting your moisturizer on too close to your lash line. It may be migrating up to your liner and causing it to slide off after time.

I was going to recommend the Revlon ColorStay. I have been trying new eyeliners for a couple years and this one works the best for me. I had a brand that I used to LOVE and they discontinued it, thus the reason for trying new ones.

I love Lancome artliner. It nevers smudges, and won't come off until you take it off.

I love this Mary Kay one too. It goes on so smooth without tugging at your eyes as you put it on.

I use Ulta brand and Sephora brand eyeliner; both work great for me and they aren't ridiculously expensive either.

I love love love the Ulta brand eyeliner. I find it gives you a great line and doesn't smudge. I have one with a smudge tip and one without. I got them both for $1 or $2 dollars during a sale. Best i've ever used so far!

I just use regular bar soap to remove my makeup. I have very oily skin so that may be my problem.

For those that recommended the Wet N Wild, was it the kohl eyeliner that you have to sharpen? I'm slacking, still haven't bought anything new to try...

I also have oily skin, and my problem wasn't the eyeliner, but my own oily eyelid. I use Urban Decay Primer Potion and it takes care of it. I can wear any eyeliner now, but I prefer Ulta, the automatic kind.

I love Urban Decay's 24/7 Glide On Eye Pencils

They stay on through ANYTHING. Even swimming. They are very creamy and glide on soo smoothly. They come in lots of bright funky colors but they also have basic colors.

The downside is they are very expensive (I think around $18 each) but they last forever...I got a set of half-sized pencils for Christmas a few years ago and they are still going strong. :thumbsup2

Thanks! I may have to try those.

Also if its my oily eyelids..I may not need to try anything new. I scrubbed them this morning as an experiment :)
