I know they are many people that have ridden this ride, and I am wondering about eyeglasses.

Myself, DH, and DS all wear glasses. Do your glasses whip around, or should we wear our usual "coaster strap" on this ride?

I hate to wear a glasses strap if I don't need to, it just looks dorky!

I don't think you'll even need the strap. Unless your glasses need to be tightened, I had no problem at all with mine. I never even felt the thing spinning.

I agree with Iansmom. I was not at all concerned with my glasses on Mission: Space and we rode it four times in late June.
I am far more concerned about them on Space Mountain and Big Thunder. Also on Test Track as you head outside I check to make sure they are on tight.
No worries about them at all on Mission: Space.
Enjoy this great ride!

I knew about Test Track, Thunder Mountain and Space Mountain. I was just wondering how fast the spinning was in Mission Space.. I've seen glasses flyon the Men In Black ride.

glasses will be fine, it is not as fast as people make it sound. Some get sick, some get dizzy, but speed doesn't necessary have to be a factor. For example, putting your forehead on a baseball bat and run around it in circles. Your not going fast but you sure will be dizzy and may feel quezzy(how do you spell "quezzy" correctly anyway - I am not taking the time to look it up for this post.)

I seem to remember that at the couple who rode with me wore glasses, and they had no problem. I would add that I did not get the sensation that we were spinning at all (which is the way it is supposed to be). That's not to say that some people might not feel it, but I don't think it's like glasses are going to get flung off your face.

Thanks for mentioning that! I was wondering about that. Glasses are new for my son, so I'd hate to lose them on the first ride!

primax,

I think you're looking for 'queasy', but I like 'quezzy' better - it looks like I feel after some rides.:)

I am practically blind without my glasses and I do worry about them on rides. We rode Mission:Space twice in July and I never once felt like my glasses were going anywhere. In fact, part of the ride simulates the G-forces you would feel at liftoff - you know, that feeling of being pressed back into your seat? My glasses felt very secure throughout this ride.
