Extremely confused about requesting room location at OKW

OK,
This is the first time I ever requested a 2br lockoff close to the hospitality house at OKW and the CM that made the reservation to me said that I will be put on a waitlist for that particular location. And that I could request to be put on a waitlist for either up to 31 days or 7 days.

I asked her again if she understood I was asking about location request which is not guaranteed and she said yes.

So I asked if the waitlist doesn't come through does that mean my reservation will be cancelled, she said no.

I've never heard about a location request (not an accommodation change) means being put in some sort of a waitlist.

Is this normal? I just want to make sure I understand this correctly.

OKW has a special reservation category for "near hospitality house". It's buildings 11-14 and 23-26. It's like "boardwalk view" at BWV. It's a guaranteed room category, not a request.

As far as I know - but i am new to this the points are the same - its just that a lot of families would prefer to be near all the main facilities. But with the bus service being really great at OKW we dont mind where we are - but we dont travel with children in our party.

No, same points. It just lets you know upfront if you are getting it or not.

No, there is no difference in points for the "near HH" reservations. You might also make an additional request - I'd add buildings 27-29, 62-64 and 14-17 to your request so they have a clear idea what you really want. All of those are pretty close to the main pool area and are only a short walk.

yes, we learned this the hard way- we had a res. for HH,got waitlisted for one day,but didn't realize we had to be waitlisted in the SAME CATEGORY to get HH for the stay.....so when we arrived, we were just about as far from HH as you can imagine the upshot is that one day that took a while to come through,when it did come through ,put us in the regular category. And the requests made when we got there for one of the closer buildings didn't fly anyway. But we rented a car,so it worked out ok. And we learned a little mor 'disney speak'
