Hello all:

I'm looking for suggestions for a 1 day diversion (mid trip & relaxing) from the parks for my lovely/beautiful DW and I. We will be in WDW for 9 days at Saratoga Springs Resort the last week of August/1st week of September (just the 2 of us). We do the 'massage/facial thing' fairly regulary at home, so a spa day is not really interesting to us. What should we consider for a mid vacation diversion? I'm looking for something other than spending the day at the pool drinking margaritas (although there is nothing wrong with that! ;) ). Additionally, I'm not really concerned about the cost (within reason) as long as it is a suprise.

Paraglide?
Personal watercraft?
Fishing expedition?
Cooking class?
Personal dinner on the GF yacht (although I doubt we could get ressies)?

Help!! :confused3

I don't know what type of thing you're into but I like the idea of renting a watercraft, that sounds fun. Also, if you like those sorts of things, they have horseback riding at Fort Wilderness Campground. Another idea might be to go to a movie at Downtown Disney or go to Disney Quest. Good luck!

I would vote for renting a pontoon boat at the GF and then having tea afterward.

Daytime: Parasailing at the Contemporary or go see the Titanic exhibit. There is a really fun Mystery Sleuth dinner show near the Titanic exhibit - food is iffy, but the show is really fun. However, the best thing to do at night is...

Night: Blue Man Group or Blue Man Group or Blue Man Group. :) Cirque du Soleil is okay, but a real snoozer when compared to Blue Man Group.

Thanks! Where is the Blue Man Group? I'm also considering the Segway tour at the World Showcase.

FYI--Dinner on the Grand One is going to be very pricey. You'll need two hours, and with dinner, the yacht and crew, and tips you're looking at over $1000--that's if you don't want a private butler to serve you and doesn't include any alcohol.

How about dinner at Blue Zoo and then La Nouba?

If you'll have a car (or are willing to rent one) and want something different, stop at Publix and get a picnic lunch, and head to Wekiwa Park which is about a 45 minute drive. It's got beautiful clear springs swimming.
