We are going to SSR with relatives. We will be in a 2bdrm villa with the relatives in a studio. Can I get an extra card key to our 2bdrm to give relatives access when we are not there?

I think only registered guests can have a key card assigned to them. The key card also enables purchasing with the card (if enabled) and access to the resort without going through the security booth. I am sure Disney wouldn't want unregistered guests having a key card with some access attached to it.

Are there any children in the party who could be registered in your room and their key given to the relatives in the studio?

They will also be registered guests at SSR, we are reserving two units-(1 )studio and (1) 2 bedroom villa. There are 10 of us in all.

We don't typically add charging on to our room. But it is dd and her dh and baby, so even if we were it wouldn't be an issue in our case.

If you are under the occupancy limit for your 2-bed, you could just add one of them to your reservation and then they can be issued a key upon check-in.

We were able to get additional keys on our last bigger family (19) trip in October. We were under the occupancy limit in all 3 units, so the desk printed up cards labeled "extra" so the other units could have access to the gv.

If you have a Dining Plan it could be a fly in the ointment for an extra key. Otherwise, it shouldn't be a problem. We've had extra keys when we've had multiple rooms, as long as none of the room were over occupancy.

Thanks! We are under occupancy in both rooms and we are not using Dining Plan this trip.:cool1:

If it is all one reservation, why not ask for all the rooms to be keyed the same?

I've done this before just ask at check-in for a extra key. Key only never a problem
