After plotting out our ADRs for our trip, I think we are going to have some quick service meal credits left over on our dining plan. Is there any way to combine QS credits to get a TS or down grade them to some snacks?

No, never on the combining to upgrade.

Possibly, on the downgrading to snacks - but that's 100% at the discretion of the location. It's most successful at the resort food courts and snack bars.

You MIGHT be able to trade them down. Check with your resort's CS about trading for snacks. You would probably have more luck there than you would at shops or park CS.

But you can never trade up by combining CS for a TS meal.

Should I try to downgrade them to snacks as I am purchasing a snack or should I do this before I get to that point?

You should ask a cashier how many snacks you would be able to get for one CS credit, before you start trying to collect snacks. Some places may say two snacks and some may say three.

Last week, at AKL in the Mara, they allowed us to trade in one CS meal for three snacks. We completed the transaction at the time of purchase.

Thanks for your help. I appreciate it. This might be a great way to use all of our credits and we can have a fun and tasty reminder of our trip when we get home.

The Main Street Bakery in MK let us get 2 pastries and a drink for either 1CS credit or 3SC. We got 2 of the gignormous cinnamon rolls on the way out of the park at the end of the night to save for an in room breakfast the next day, along with a bottled drink that we usually shared right away. I used both CS and SC during our stay for this, since we had a few extra CS credits toward the end of our stay.

Your resort food court or grab & go is the best place to ask though, more success reported there than in the parks in using CS credits for snack items.

Those cinnamon rolls sound like a great choice. What a good idea to save them for an in-room breakfast. Thanks for the information!

Make sure you have some plastic forks and napkins from your resort food court handy if you take the rolls back for breakfast. They are huge and messy, but ooooooh sooooo good!

Good to know. We are also going to have more CS than I plan on using.

Thinking about this, I have always wished that Disney would think about instituting a Points System for the ddp. That way you can use your points as you wish. But I'm sure there is some economical reason that they don't do this.
