Extra Points - What do I do with them?

Ok, I have 18 points that will expire at the end of the month. I don't want to go through the trouble of renting them and I don't know anyone that I can transfer them to. Any suggestions?

List them on the rent/transfer board. I just read a thread where someone needed just 3 points. I bet there are loads of people who would love to have you transfer the points. Good Luck.

I agree with DQMom...no harm or cost in trying.

Otherwise, at the end of the month, you can hold a small service to bid your expired points goodbye.

Use them. We once found out we had 6 points that would expire, so we added another night and used about 26 points total.

Try booking a room and donating it to "Give Kids the World". With 18 points, you should be able to book two nights in a Studio at either OKW or BWV (Standard View). GKTW tries not to bounce families around from room to room (especially since many have children with disabilities), so if you can only book 1 or 2 nights, they will give those rooms to the counselors.

If you can do it, it will make you feel good, and you won't feel like the points just went to waste.

Wasn't able to make the standard room reservation that I had intended for my brother's upcoming honeymoon , so he's set-up in a preferred room for his last night, the Wednesday before Thanksgiving.

This throws a monkeywrench into my own family's plans to visit Mickey just before Christmas 2008. We have 55 points left and need 58 for our pre-holiday visit. We are already borrowing points from a future use year so that option is out.

Unfortunately the OP's points expire in 27 days. So they're of no use to that person who needs points in November.

Maybe there's someone at WDW right now who would welcome extending their vacation by a day or so.....
