Extra People in room minus tickets

I am staying for a week in September. I have a package booked with room and tickets for me and my son. My sister and her husband are thinking about joining us for a portion of the time and only going to the parks with us one day, so adding them to the package doesn't work... I am assuming I have to call and add them to the room, I just want to be prepared, does anyone know if this will screw up my package when I call and how it really works? Thanks!

Don't call unless you want to add them to your package which you don't want to do. A package requires all guests sharing a room to have the same package selections.

You will need to add them to your roomat the front desk when you arrive or when they arrive if they are coming later. You will need to pay the Extra Adult charge for 1 since there is not charge for 2 adults. You can even setup them for charging directly to their MBs of they have them at the front desk.

Thanks! But how do we handle their tickets for the day they do go to the parks and MDE? They’re going to do a one day park hopper.

Do they have their own MDE account? That would be best since you can both just add each other to your MDE Friends and Family Group.

They will need to purchase their own tickets, the best option is for time to do this before arriving. They can purchase directly from Disney or via a third-party site like AAA, Costco, or other Group.

They can buy their tickets separately. The best price for a one-day ticket, hopper or not, is almost always direct from Disney, via MDE.

If they are staying in the room with you, the easiest thing for you to do is drop the tickets from your package, add your friends and then each of you purchase tickets separately, either directly through Disney or through one of the 3rd party vendors that offer discounted tickets.

EDIT to add: this assumes you don't have dining in your package.
