is there a list somewhere of which attractions are open in both parks during extra morning hours?

Thank you!

DLR doesn't have an list posted on their website (unless you go attraction-by-attraction to see their operating hours for any given day). Over in DL, only the attractions in Fantasyland (excluding Casey Jr and Storybook Canal Boats) and Tomorrowland (excluding Launch Bay/Super Hero HQ and Path of the Jedi) are open during EMH/MM. Most of the Main Street shops and dining venues are also open, but none of the attractions. Over in DCA, the attractions are more spread out, but they do include Soarin', Screamin', King Triton's Carousel, Ariel, Carsland (Mater's Junkyard and RSR), TSMM, and ToT (there may be others, but these are the ones listed on 1/31/16 as having EMH hours).

May seem obvious, but since we have never been and are finalizing plans, are the same attractions open for EMH and MM? We are staying on-site and plan on using MM as much as possible. Thx.

Yes...the same attractions are open...

Just to clarify...Magic Morning (MM) only occurs in DL. Guests with certain three-day or longer tickets are eligible for Magic Morning. On-site guests (those saying at the Paradise Pier, the Disneyland Hotel, or the Grand Californian) are eligible for Extra Magic Hour (EMH), which happens in both DL and DCA. Usually, DL has EMH/MM on Tue, Thur, and Sat mornings; DCA usually has EMH on Sun, Mon, Wed, and Fri. The vernacular is confusing to a lot of folks, but basically, as an onsite guest, you'll have access to EMH (which happens in both parks, but usually not on the same day).

yes, EMH is on site admittance and MM is for folks with 3 or more days ticket. The reason for no differentiation, is that EMH allows fore early entry into DCA, an option that only onside guest can use in the early morning

So, since EMH at DL is Tu, Thur, and Sat and you can only use MM on one of those same days and only at DL, there really is no advantage to have both as far as DL is concerned-correct? It is not a double benefit (staying on-site and more than 3 days).

The EMH advantage comes with the fact that you can use it at DCA(along with all other on-siters).

EMH is for hotel guests, 7 days a week, in the appointed park.

MM is for non-site guests, only at Disneyland

You can buy single day tickets, be onsite and be in one of the parks all seven days first thing in the morning before opening, your ticket does not hinder your ability to enter the park

for example, a family currently on thread here is purchasing one night on site, for a one day visit, in order to have that 1 hour advantage

Yup.
