Extra Money To Request Room?

do you have to pay extra money to request a certain room? i dont know if the room is a regular veiw or not, where can i check, its at the WL room 4014 or 6161. thanks

There is no charge to make the request for a particular room, but you will not be assigned to a room which is not in the room category you have reserved. There may be a charge to upgrade to a different room category (although tales of free room upgrades abound). Also, there is no guarantee of getting any particular room that you request, even if the room you request is within the room category that you have reserved.

The room numbers you mentioned in your post are a Courtyard View and a Woodsview. These are room categories that you pay for, these are not standard views. So to answer your question, no you can't not pay extra for a room request, requests are just that requests and not guarenteed. You can however pay for different views, at WL those include; standard view, woodsview with and without bunkbeds (more $ for bunkbeds) and courtyard view, with and without bunkbeds (more $ for bunkbed). Some rooms on the North side of the WL do have view of fireworks through the trees.

There is the possibility to book a standard and end up on the North side and have somewhat of a view of the fireworks, but from what I've read you are also above a loading dock. I can not speak specifically to this, because when we booked a standard, we were upgraded to Courtyard view at check in. (no we did not ask for an upgrade) .

As stated, there's no charge to request a particular room as long as it's in the same category as on your reservation.

However, I will caution you that requesting a specific room is going to be extremely hard to fulfill. The party that was assigned to your room the day before you get there will have to be leaving. Disney won't leave a room vacant until you get there. It would be much easier to request the general area first and then a specific room "if available". But don't really count on it.
