Hi everybody :flower:

Are the morning and evening extra magic hours totally free at the 4 major parks for Disney hotel guests? I remember back in 1999 I paid about $10 I think to stay in the Magic Kingdom a few more hours in the evening. Has this all changed to being free now? Also, is it 3 extra evening hours at all 4 parks? We will be there from Dec 9 - Dec 19.

By the way, I love all these cute smilies you have here. I am on another music message board and their ones are not nearly as cool!! :cheer2:

Hi and welcome to the DIS!

Yes, EMH are free now for WDW resort guests. And it is 3 hours at night or 1 hour in the monring.

ENjoy your trip!

Bob

Very good question I was wondering the same thing. Also I was wondering if the EMH at night are still really crowded?

Thanks Bob! :cool1: Wow, look at all those times you have visited Disney!!

I have another question about the Mickey Very Merry Christmas Parade. I noticed on this site it lists the dates of it as starting on December 20 or 21 if I remember correctly. But we are leaving Orlando on December 20.

However we will be attending one of the Very Merry Christmas Parties on one of the dates during our stay, between Dec 9 - Dec 19. So is the evening parade during this Party actually the exact same parade as we will miss?

The Christmas parade during the day (in lieu of Share a Dream Come True) is the same as the MVCP parade at night.

EMH during the summer were terrible at night, very crowded. Last Jan, the EMH at night were not too bad. EMH in the AM is really pretty good since a lot of people don't like to get up early. You can usually do a lot during that one hour in the AM.

Thanks so much! My name is Debbie too. :wave2:

I stopped being Debbie about 15 years ago when I saw a Bob Newhart show (he was the psychologist) and he had a temporary receptionist. Carole was out sick. Her name was Debbie and she was about 80 yrs old. I became Deb at that moment.

But I do become Deborah lots of times. That's what my husband calls me, too.

we came back on the 2nd of Oct and ended up doing EHM every night )took long daytime breaks for kids), crowds were not bad at all the longest wait we had was maybe 20 minutes...except for Soarin, that was anywhere from 40 to 70 minutes, but we fastpassed during the day no problem though.

I've been wondering how they get all the people who are not Disney guests out of the parks at night, before the Extra Magic Hours.

Do they check to see if they have a wristband before letting them into the ride entrances? What is there to stop other people just wandering around sight-seeing, shopping, eating etc for those 3 extra magic hours? Maybe they don't mind them hanging around because they are spending money? :earboy2:
