I was really looking forward to the days when there are extra magic hour(s) at the parks. I have booked all of my ADRs with the idea that I will be at the park with the extra hours.

I have since read more travel books who don't recommend doing this because the park with the extra magic hour(s) is the busiest.

This is my first trip as an adult so I need you veterns to help me.

Now it will help to know that we only plan on visitng AK, MGM and Epcot one day each and spend 2 1/2 days at MK.

Also we will take a mid day break and miss the busiest times in the park.

What are your thoughts. :confused3

Personally, we aren't going to do it. We didn't have any waits or any crowds last year when we were there, except for the EMH evenings. Then it was crazy!

It also didn't help that my kids were up by 7 am every morning, so we just made sure to do the EMH mornings since everyone was up and raring to go. We went back for afternoon naps and pool time, but even with that, they were ready to be back in bed by 9 at the latest. (They were only 2 & 3)

EMH mornings are awesome...it's like you have the entire park all to yourself until about 10. Even from 10-12 the lines were non existant.

AM is the best--we rode more in that hour than we did in the 1st two hours of PM hours. of course that 3rd hour of PM we rode with out lines.

It really depends what time of the year you go. Over Christmas EMH are a must if you want to hit all the thrill rides.

I agree, it all depends on what time of year you are there. If the parks are busy in general, the EMH will be busy as well. If its not peak, then EMH is worth it, especially in the morning. We were there last month and went to EMH both in the morning and at night, and pretty much walked right on everything with little or no wait.

We are at WDW every year in July, and EMH nights have the parks open usually until 2 am or so. On those days, we usually sleep in a bit in the morning, hit the EMH night park or maybe another park, go back to our hotel and swim, go eat, and then hit the park for the rest of the night including EMH! We don't go commando during EMH and just take our time so we don't get worn out by 2 am! The closer it gets to 2, the easier it is to walk right on to rides!

I rarely take advantage of EMH. I find the crowds to be lighter at the non-EMH parks.
