Extra Magic Hours, or no?

Hubby and I are taking our 10 year old daughter the first week of December. This is a budget trip, so not many dining reservations and NO PARKHOPPER. Trying to plan around Touring Plan's crowd calendar, using it as a guide. My question is whether or not the Extra Magic Hours are worth it, even if the days a park has emh's, the crowd calendar shows a higher crowd level? For example, would it be worth going to Magic Kingdom on a day when they have emh in the evening (so park hours would be 9am -11pm for us) and a crowd level of 5 out of 10, or go on a MVMCP day, where park hours for us would be 9am- 6pm, but crowd level of 1 out of 10.

Since you don't have park hoppers, avoid the parks with EMH.

Go to the park that had EMH the day before.

I've heard catching EMH at MK is worth it if you get there at rope drop. But since you don't have park hoppers you would be stuck at MK for the whole day when it gets really crowded later in the day.

I think you'll get much more accomplished going on a MVMCP day rather than an EMH day (regardless if they're PM or AM EMH)

The park will be busier with the EMH, especially during party times because those are the only days you can see the HEA fireworks. If the fireworks are important to you, I would go on the non-party day. The parks start to get really busy at about 4 on party days when they let people attending the party in, but you can get a lot done in that time.

Well we do want to see fireworks at least once while we are there. We are planning on hitting MK on arrival day, which we know will only be a half day, but they are open until 9pm.. also planning on going on our last day, which is also a 9pm closing. :)

I would go on the party day then. It frees up your evening and you are able to do about the same as a full non-party day.
