Extra Magic Hours NOT so “Extra”

They have to fill their overpriced resorts somehow. I personally think under 3s should be charged admission (the amount of space their stuff takes up? Yeah.) and no FPs should be available to non resort guests. We don’t always get what we want 🤷🏼‍♀️
Under 3s basically have no idea of what’s going on and won’t really remember anything.

Neither will a 3 year 1 day year old. I can’t stand the lap baby on planes either. I paid for a seat now your baby is squirming on your lap and impeding on my space 😑

True. But how much space is really being taken? All of my sister’s stuff is put in a loose backpack. Plenty of other guests have bags for non-baby stuff. And strollers shouldn’t be that big of an issue? most people without strollers have an advantage and can walk faster anyways to rides during rope drop.

I had more near misses and walking space issues due to mobility scooters than strollers on our last trip :confused3

TL : DR how much stuff you bring into the parks shouldn't determine how much you pay (or whether you pay) regardless of the circumstances.

Just yesterday RD at DHS was a nightmare of stroller derby. My kids were 7, 5, 5 our first trip. Others can do as they wish, but there is no reason not to charge them admission. Buffets, no charge. Parks, yeah. But that is not the topic of this thread, so back to EMH.

Thanks, I never check the times guide, I am so used to the MDE app!!! Do you know if the monorail and bus times on the MDE app???
Bus times, in general, are not, as they are not on a "set" timetable.

("Last run" time (Disney Springs) is approx. 1:30AM-2:00AM, but even that can be a bit flexible.)

Dont get me wrong I love epcot at night. But they close so much for their emh i have always found it to be a bust:duck:. For one, most of WS closes at 9ish and there isnt enough to do in future world to thin out the crowds. Couple that with the fact that emh start at 9 but fireworks are 9:15-9:35ish emh is really only 80mins if you want to watch fireworks. Plus its a long haul from WS to futureworld. It would make more sense for the park to “close” at 9:30 and keep emh going until 12

I agree. The one thing I liked was the Wind down event which they took away almost immediately after it was introduced. When there is no EMH in the evening, my sister & I watch the fireworks from Canada or Mexico, that way we can walk the whole showcase with no crowd. We did it on my birthday and a couple of times during F&G this year.

Aside from the 60 Fastpass + advantage there are fewer and fewer reasons to pay to stay on-site. The EMH's were a huge reason people would choose to stay on-site. I'm not saying the DAH events should stop (I do think they are good for those who stay off-site or those who want even fewer people in the parks) but they should go back to offering more to stay on-site.

I mean let's face it - there are plenty of other hotels/condos/home rentals in Orlando that way less expensive than Disney. I do like staying in the Disney bubble but it is getting harder to justify.

And to the fairness of the Fastpass 60 day window I agree that it is not fair. I know life isn't fair but it does really put the off-site guests at a big disadvantage. I also know that Disney won't change their policy now but I think they should think of other ways to make everyone happy.

I've had people ram their strollers right into my ankles (on purpose a couple times in lineups where nobody is moving anyways - so not sure what they expect me to do lol).
