Hello all! New to this board but have been lurking for a few days. Because the school I work at breaks up early for easter I've managed to book a holiday dirt cheap, staying at The Sequoia Lodge at the end of March. Can't wait!!!

Anyway, back to the point. What attractions are open during Extra Magic Hours? Are all the rides open or is it just Main Street. If that's the case I've just signed up to 4 mornings of extra shopping:mad:

Hi wyre forest red Reid,Elaine,Jackie and Elaine all welcome to DLP DIS board
We are a friendly bunch here so please join in on any other thread or if you have a number of questions then just start a new thread for each

If you have not had a look yet, DLP posting rules are here. DIS posting guidelines can be found here.

The rides in Fantasyland are open as well as Buzz , Orbitron and Space Mountain in Discoveryland :goodvibes

Many thanks. Haven't been to DLP for 2 and a half years. It looks like there are quite a few new attractions to enjoy which will be great.

Next question, when we went to WDW in Florida 18 months ago my two daughters we avid collectors of the pressed pennies. Do they have these in DLP? If so I'm guessing that they will press 50 cent coins and that I'll need a supply of these and euro coins to make them work. Am I right?

They definitely have the pressed pennies - we got a couple of different ones while we were there in August. I know we have a POTC one and another one. I can't even remember which coin was used though....useless really! I can check tomorrow as my son will know where he has put it.

We collected these when we went to WDW too, but we never saw any at DLP. Where abouts are the machines that do them Jeccaboos?

Cheers all. I'm hoping that they do have the pressed pennies. I have a very, very vague recollection of seeing one machine in one of the main street shops on an early visit. I found in Florida that collecting these, and buying a bundle of disney pins off Ebay to trade in the parks, made excellent souvenirs for our daughters.... and were much cheaper/ much more fun than hitting the shops. :rotfl: .

Hi we are just back, the following were open for EMH:

Fantasyland:

Lancelot Carrousel
Pinocchio
Peter Pan
Dumbo
Mad Hatters Tea Cups

Discoveryland:

Buzz
Orbitron
Stars Tours
Space Mountain

Not sure if the attractions that are open change depending on the season/time of year.

I hope I'm not misleading anyone when I say I think I saw the pressing machines in one of the arcades, either liberty or discovery.

Well, I'll admit to being confused. The website linked to above suggests that there are no pressed pennies inside the parks. Some posts suggest that there are, my brother and sister in- law, I spoke to them tonight about their trip last week, are convinced that they saw them in one of the shops and in Disney Village. Its a challenge for anyone lucky enough to be visiting over Xmas to hunt them down!!!!:goodvibes :goodvibes

We're going on the 4th January and I will definitely be looking out for them. My thread further down has got a few suggestions for starting points, so I'll be checking them out. I think people are getting confused with pressed coins and souvenir coins though. We got souvenir coins when we were there in June, but they were not the same as the pressed pennies that you get in WDW.
