extra magic hours and park hopping

If you go to a park that is not the extra magic evening and do not have the hopper feature, can you still go or would you have to go that park that day?
I noticed spectro in only Mon. Jan. 17th, but EMH for MK is Tuesday. I want to see spectro, and use EMH, but don't have park hopper feature.

If you do not have the park hopper feature you will only be allowed into one park per day no matter what EMH is taking place.

Actually, for someone like me who is going for 7 days in May, it is customer friendly. I never used the Plusses on my Hopper. I always used up all my days during a single vacation. I figure my family of 4 will save $300 with the new option for our trip.

I don't use the pluses and use up all my days, and I don't even need to hop, I just want to go to go to one park each day.
The issue is on Jan. 17th and 18th. I would like to see Spectro magic, which is only happening on the 17th, but EMH for the MK in on Jan. 18th in the evening. If I go to MK on the 17th and see Spectro, then, I can't use the benefit of EMH on the 18th unless I do not go to one of the parks. I could skip Spectro. and go to MK on the 18th, but that would not be to great either.
So, I guess I will have to pay more to have 4 day passes with hopping to do both. That is definitely not customer friendly.

So Disney is basically saying I have to pick paying more for park hopping to see Spectro Magic which is on Monday, Jan 17th and be able to attend the EMH on Tuesday the 18th... I don't see how this is customer friendly.

How is that any different than it's always been? You have never been able to attend more than 1 park in 1 day without a park hopper pass, and a park "hopper" has always cost more than a 1-park pass. And we use to have to pay an extra $12 for E-nite.

The 4 day hopper passes are now alot more than before. So I figured I could skip the hopping, but then I found out about the EMH which they added. So, now I am spending more again.
