Just returned from our trip 8/20 to 8/27. Based on the park schedules I had printed out prior to leaving on our trip, we had planned to do early entry at Epcot on Monday, 8/22. I had verified the extra magic hour schedule the week before our trip. However, when we got to Disney, the weekly park hours indicated Epcot was NOT a morning extra hour on Monday. I caught the change the night before, but many peaople had spent an extra "not so magic hour" at the EPCOT entrances expecting them to open at 8:00 instead of 9:00.

There was also a change to the schedule I had for Spectro Magic at Magic Kingdom. I had shown it shceduled for Thursday, but it was on Friday this past week.

I don't know if the official Disney schedule was changed and posted prior to our trip, but you may want to make sure you double-check the times for the extra magic hours and some of the other scheduled attractions just prior to your trips.

Despite the schedule changes we had an awesome trip!!!!!

Yep, that has happened a few times recently. Be sure to remember that EMH days are not set in stone. A good reminder for everyone.

Disney and their ever-changing hours :badpc: They are the bane of my existance since I refer to them every day and Disney just can't leave them alone!

They seem to be accurate for a 2 week stretch, then Disney makes little tweaks (or big tweaks) to the hours, taking some away, adding some in, changing an evening entertainment, switching an EMH.

So...check them apx. every 2 weeks. They seems to change on either Saturday, Sunday, or Monday, so I suppose Tuesday is a good day to check.

Good luck. *sigh*

I noticed the change on 8/20 after checking the WDW EMH link (the WDW calendar for Epcot was still marked for EMH...I think it was changed to that evening though), and tried to get any information to verify it but didn't find out for sure until we arrived late on the 21st. We too had planned a morning at Epcot on the 22nd, but went to MK instead. I'm glad I double checked the night before we left!

Well, I will be sure and double check the night before we leave. But that can really mess things up, because I am planning parks depending on the EMH night schedule, I am going to avoid them. So my ADR and planned too. So what I did, is book the 3 main places we wanted to eat for different days, so I will be sure and have them. I will cancel the extra as soon as I know for sure, or maybe just eat there twice!!

Well sofar the September schedule has not changed. But i will keep checking it. Goofy or Mickey should keep away from the computer ! ::MickeyMo :earboy2:

yes I want to avoid them also!!!!!
sooooo
it maybe sounds like a LOT of people not aware of the change will still be going to the parks,, & I am sure won't change their schedule, after being there, right.. so, maybe we should still plan on avoiding parks that were planned for EMH , if they didn't change their schedule a few days before?

btw, is there also a plan they have where they give extra hours at night , everynow & then?
