Does anyone know how often they change the schedule for Magic Extra Hour?

I want to make dinner reservations for our February trip, and would like to plan dinner in the park that's open late that night.

I know the current schedule, but would hate to book it and have them change the schedule.

Thanks in advance

Before our trip in June they made numerous changes to the EMH schedule. I do not let the EMH schedule influence our dining arrangements so the changes did not affect our eating plans. It did change some of the days and times we were visiting the parks. Actually, from what I have read I don't think too many (if any) restaurants remain open during the evening EMH. I think they pretty much close with the regular park hours and only some counter service places stay open. Hopefully others will have more info for you.

it is pretty much an average rotation. Occasionally like you have heard the schedule has been changed.

Wish Disney would make a commitment on hours. Have already had to change ADR's around because they changed times of fireworks. FRUSTRATING

I definitely read (somewhere, I don't remember where) that many of the World Showcase restaurants were open during the Evening EMH at Epcot. I even saw schedules. I think it was on info we received when we were there last week, but I am not sure if that was it or not.

How/when do we find out how many evening EMH's there will be? I always hear the expression "up to 3 hours", but I interpret such a statement to mean you could get 3 or 2 or 1 extra hour. Having that information would make a difference in my planning. Does anyone know?

As far as your first question, "How many eveing EMH's there will be"... each park has a different day that it is either morning or evening EMH, each day has at least one. Some days have an early and a late (different parks), some days have just a morning, some have just an evening, you have to check the schedule for the exact park that will be offering EMH.

For your second question:

Morning EMH is 1 hour prior to the parks official opening time (During holidays they sometimes will do 1 hour and 30 minutes, but that is usually a spur of the moment thing that you find out about at the hotel.)

Evening EMH is always 3 hours after the parks official closing time :)

Perfect! Thanks! That's exactly the information I was looking for. By saying "up to 3" that makes it sound like it could be just 1. Good to know.
