Extra Magic Hour Question

I checked the disney site for Magic Kingdom park hours for May 28th. The calendar state the park is open from 9am till 12am (midnight). Is midnight the closing time or is there additional time for the "Magic Hour". We arrive at the airport at 9pm and will go on to the Magic Kingdom if time allows. Thanks

That's the "official" closing time, which means the park will be open till 3AM for resort guests.

If it is extra evening hours, it will be 3am and the buses will run until 5 am, at least that was the case over spring break. Not all of the rides will be open however, so you need to decide if it is worth a 1 day pass, since you will be tired for the next day. just a thought!
