We are staying at Dis resorts for the first time during our trip at the end of April (3 days POFQ and 5 days AKL) and I am curious to know if the EMH early entry program is worth doing. How crowded to the EMH parks get both during that first hour and then later in the day. I have heard that the last week in April is not a particularly busy one so maybe I don't have to worry...but I am curious. Thanks!:crowded:

Sometimes during a slow time when the park hours are short the early entry is nice just so that you can have that extra hour in the parks. Part of it depends on you--do you have young children (EE at the MK is a quick way to do Fantasyland), are you morning people, are you willing to hop to a different park if the EE park gets busy, do you plan on going on the rides that are open early? We did the EE at MK and MGM, but not at the other parks.

EMH works particularly well at MK and MGM. If you have small kids it is a must to get fantasyland done with little or no waits. At MGM you can ride RockN'Rollercoaster and TOT with no waits as well. If the parks do get busier later in the day then we will just hop to another park. We usually don't use EMH at Epcot and AK.

I feel it is worth it at MK. You can get all of Fantasy Land out of the way with walk ons before 9 am. Walk through there in the afternoon and look at the lines and you'll be greatful that you got up a little earlier.:)

I can handle AK early - Kilaminjaro Safaries, etc. - and Fantasyland. Last time I went to MGM early I remember thinking "what am I doing on TOT and RnR this early? I haven't had nearly enough coffee for this!" But our family are not morning people and we rarely make it, even though I plan to. It is definitely worth it if you have younger ones that like Fantasyland.

Since it started back up, I've only done EMH at MK. I think it's wonderful though. It gets crowded latter in the day, so I would recogmemd just going there in the morning and then park hop tp another park in the afternoon. You can always come back on another day when it will be less crowded.

We go to the EMH park in the morning until about 11:00-11:30 and then go back to the room for a rest, lunch, swim and then head to a different park in the afternoon/evening

thanks

Thank you for the advice! We will certainly use EMH at MK - probably the Studios as well. :sunny:
