Extra Leg Room/Upgrate at Airport

Thanks for this - my only concern is not so much where we sit on the plane if we decided on extra leg room but that we are all sat together!?

Hubby has decided to go with it on the way out and if it really is torture - we'll book the extra leg room on the way back. Fingers crossed he can cope alright!

The only reason they don't give actual seats is due to the potential aircraft configurations.
If you pay for extra legroom seats as a group you will be grouped together, the number of them are so small it's easy to manage. That's why they can charge for them.
Seating together can be the row in front or behind or across the aisle (but not applicable to extra legroom seats)

You'll notice there are 20 in both 747 configs with combinations for 4 with the next row option as well as the centre 4.

Hopefully you'll be OK though.

I booked 2 sets of flights today first with aerlingus for my sister as she is flying out at a later date and meeting us i just picked any seats with the plan to ring up and get the exit extra room seats

Then I booked for myself husband and brother just by chance I clicked on the exit seat with extra room seat they charge €15 each way to book the seats online so booked them for my husband as my brother is in a wheelchair he cannot sit in those seats so picked the row behind the exit for us. Here is the ouch part I went back online to try get my sister the exit rows and I could not re choose seats so had to ring them and its €30 each way to book over the phone I will never make that mistake again ... Just thought Id let you know for future bookings

Yeah for some reason it would not let me book them online so I had to phone them. TBH its a small price to pay to get the seats and know that you will have a comfortable flight.

Can you book bulhead seats in advance? Do they show up on the website for booking online or are they only available at the airport? Can children sit in bulkhead seats the ones in the middle 4 not the ones by the exits?

What Airline? I would ring up and just ask to be sure I could be wrong be as far as I know the middle 4 bulkheads are kept for people traveling with babies at least any time I fly they have babies in those seats

The bulkheads have the skycots there so normally for babies and special assistance cases
