Extra fastpasses?

Last year, I called customer service to report an issue I had on my trip. The cast member I spoke to gave me 3 free fastpasses. He gave me a confirmation number and told me to bring that to guest services to redeem.

A few questions:
1. Can I redeem them in my hotel? Or does it have to be done in a park? I was hoping to get this taken care of the day I arrive, but I'm not going to the park that day.
2. Has anyone gotten fastpasses like this? How do they work? I was told that a few rides (like FOP) would be excluded.

Thanks!

I got that also...They went right to my magic band and i could use them with anything except the mine train. It was new then..so probably use them in that now. There was NO window. Just use them whenever. Im sure any new attraction they can't be used. We used them for Peter Pan and Space,Splash

We always get 3-4 "extra: fast passes. Every trip. per day. These are add on to the 60 day out 3 per day i pick. There is a way you can get them...other than your situation. For us. My Veteran status gets them. Guest Relations is your friend....
You can get a lot more from Disney if you just ask.
Best wishes on your trip.

The parks are the ones to redeem those. Guest Relations inside or outside the park can help.

They will work at any attraction EXCEPT the ones listed below:

Flight of Passage
Navi River Journey
Rivers of Light
Toy Story Mania
Slinky Dog Dash
Alien Swirling Saucers
Frozen Ever After
Mickey M&G in Town Square Theatre
(Note: listed could change without notice)

You don't have the schedule them, they will show up on your MDX as "Multiple Experiences" and you simply go up to the FP entrance and tap your cards or bands and it will turn green.

We used guest relations at ESPN sport center (we were waiting on our daughters sport to start) last year to sort out a set of free tickets we had received when our son had an accident in 2007 on Disney property.

No lines at that window and the cast members were wonderful.

Also, just FYI, it's possible that if you arrive at an attraction for which you have one of your "regular" FP booked during the grace period (5 mins before or 15 mins after) it may take one of your anytime FPs instead of the one you booked. I'm not sure if the CM can override this.

Great point..we always use the extras during a NON window time on the others..

Yes, a CM warned us not to use the grace period on prebooked passes otherwise it will use one of your anytime passes. Your hotel if you're onsite may be able to help you link your fast passes. They have for us at Sports before.

We were just there a couple weeks ago, and had the same situation, a couple free FP's from a previous trip. We went to Disney Springs our first day and got them loaded on our tickets then. Even though our email stated only character greetings were excluded, we were told the above list of rides were also excluded. Said they couldn't do anything there, and if we wanted to argue we needed to go to the park.

We did have to pick specific days to add the FP's to though. I assumed they would be good whenever, but had to pick the day we wanted to use them. They were valid for SDMT, so we used it for that.

And yes, make sure not to tap outside your other FP windows or it will use your multi-experience one instead..... or like my daughter who tapped twice at Jungle Cruise and we lost it. We explained and the CM gladly added it back, but it was a different multi-experience that wasn't valid for SDMT.

How does a veteran get extra fast passes. DH is a veteran and never received any extra in all the trips we've taken. Heading to DW in April. How to do this?

Maybe you can share more of your secrets to these extra fastpasses. I’m sure we’d all like to know who to ask to get double the fastpasses every trip, every day.
