How are the crowds during the extra evening hours in July? We will be traveling with our teens and think that it might be cooler and easier to just hit the parks later in the day and stay for the extra evening hours instead of trying to drag them out of bed for EMH.

You and EVERYONE ELSE at a WDW resort is thinking the same thing.

Generally, expect PM EMH during prime seasons to be jammed until after midnight.
They usually thin down after that time if the EMHs extend into the early AM.

Last July it was an absolute ZOO with ride times on popular attractions at 90+ minutes. After a few attempts we gave upon the PM EMH and followed our regular touring plan--it worked much better for us. One thing we did note was that planning on touring the park that had PM EMH the next AM worked out really well.

Wow, that's sort of weird, my dad and sister were at MGM for the evening extra magic hours and said there was hardly anybody there. And that was over spring break last year. :confused3

NOBODY can predict exactly what an ever-changing universe of guests WILL or WON'T do.

(And that goes for the "Tour Guru's" who are like weathercasters in their accuracy.)

If you want to attend an evening EMH, its FREE.
So go ahead.

If its too busy... go elsewhere.

But if its empty... you're READY for the FUN! :thumbsup2

You are so right, Robo. Duh? Why didn't I think of that? I guess I am trying to plan too much.
