Extra Dining Credits question

Hi all,

If I have a group of three on the dining plan for a 5 night stay, but one person in the group may have to leave after 3 nights, would that leave extra credits for the remaining two people? ie, an extra 2 dinner credits to possibly be used at a signature restaurant and 2 extra snacks?

I guess I am wondering if all the credits get pooled to the one 'room account' to be used by who ever.

This could also be true if a family were on the dining plan and the parents wanted a 'date night' to a signature restaurant, would that just use up 2 extra dinners from the kids?

Yep, in this case it's absolutely fine. (See below for a different case where it is not)

Unless the kids were Disney "adults", then no, this wouldn't work. Credits are split between adult and child. Child credits can only be used by children and must purchase kids' meals where available (note, there are only a few CS that do not have a kids' menu, and that's mostly because it's smaller or similar things. E.g. Casey's hot dogs or some turkey leg stand in DHS). So, because the kids' credits would be child credits, this would not work. However, if they are indeed Disney "adults", then it would.

So, basically, the credits for the room do get pooled as you suspect, and they can be used by anyone on the room in any order. The only guidelines are those child/adult credit limitations and the maximum number of credits per seating (e.g. for a room with 2 adults and 2 children, they could only purchase up to 2 adult meals and 2 kids' meals per seating).
