i believe i seen this question before on these boards, but i do not remember the solution.we will be getting a 2 bedroom at the bvc there will be 8 of us 4 adults and 4 children i wanted to be able to give the adults there own rooms to sleep and put the 4 children in one room, but there are 3 girls and 1 boy.their ages are 14,11,8 and 4 do they have bunkbeds you can request or can i get an extra cot or should i just ask for a extra bed

thanks for the help

As noted, no cots and no linens. You should know that the sleeping arrangements are a King bed in the master and either 2 queens or a queen plus love seat pull out in the second BR along with a pull out queen in the LR. If you get a lockout, you might move the love seat to the LR and have 2 beds there which might work best for you. I'm sure someone will have concerns about anyone doing this but at least it's an option. Otherwise you're looking at sharing rooms with kids and adults or piling the kids all in one room. I guess you could also give the second adult couple the LR pull out and put all kids in the second BR.

We've had some similar trips - ended up with an all girl room, and all boy room or rooms.. it split some couples up, but all in all worked for the few nights we've had extra guests.

FWIW, there is a thread over on the resorts board that says BWV provided her family with a rollaway bed. There were staying in a studio. Look for the posts by LvsTnk. She does say she was initially told no, but did get one anyway.

Not sure why an exception was made, but apparently they do happen.

A cash reservation and sounds like she may have made a stink about it. Her next trip is BWI and that makes me wonder if she really was in the villas even though she said she was.

We had a 2 bedroom at BCV and there is absolutely no extra space in the living room when the sofa bed is open. There is, however, a huge empty space outside the 2nd bathroom, adjacent to the 2nd bedroom. You could easily fit a rollaway bed there, if they'd give you one.

If the resort doesn't help, you'll need to improvise...

When you open up the pull out, you'll have a couple of sofa cushions. They're a little stiff, but you might be able to set them up as a little bed for a small one, perhaps the 4 or 8... Don't forget to bring along some linen!

We also had a rollaway at BWV in a studio but there was a $15 a night charge for it and it takes up a lot of space even when upright. Since then we take an air mattress and rechargable pump with us since we have two teens age 15 and 16 who won't share a bed. The cushions were my DGD favorite even at age 13 since at OKW we had the ones from both the sofa and love seat. You may have some from two sofas depending on the two bedroom unit you get. We tucked them against a wall in a corner which with the sheet tucked in kept them from separating. The kitchen floor area might work for a small child. Just don't forget you need extra linens to do this or bring a sleeping bag. If you are there more than two days, at $15 a night even if you can get the rollaway, it pays to buy the inexpensive air mattress, a light weight sleeping bag or fleece blanket and leave them there if you can't get them in the luggage on the way home. They can also be put out of the way during the day. Since we have been doing this I just pack an extra duffle bag with these things in it along with laundry soap tablets, coffee filters, and other items I might not want to purchase in large quantities while there.
Have a great trip.

Let's take a poll, how many more posts to this thread before it gets locked???

Since the topic is not about exceeding the room's capacity, I don't foresee any reason to lock this.

There are going to be 7 of us on our Christmas trip, and we intend to bring an Aero bed rather than have DS and DD's boyfriend share the pull out.

Unless I have the 2 bedroom, I usually bring our Aero Bed. My girls do not sleep well in the same bed together. Too much discussion over fair division of sleep space and blankets, LOL!!

Hoping the BWV studio has enough floor space for a full size Aero Bed with the sleeper opened up too..

thanks for the advice i think i shall buy the aero bed to bring with us.the kids will no doubt all want to sleep on the air mattress
